World of Warcraft

5 stars (If you want an online game this is the one to pick.) - I really love this game! I have been playing for more than 6 months and the "new" effect still hasn't worn off. The graphics are great and there are alot of places to explore. It's easy to level and items aren't too expensive. Trust me. This game is worth its price! 4 stars (Good addictive game.) - I like this game a lot. You can play it however you want, although it does mostly sadly caters to hardcore games, rather then casual gamers. It is still really good. Graphics-wise its looks decent, not the best, and not the worst but decent. Community-wise i have found all depends on the individual. you have to make things happen, you also have to work to make a community in the game. Gameplay-wise i think it is a little on the easy-side but a lot of fun. To respond breiefly to the guy talking about Guild-Wars. "a.no fee" If 15 a month is a problem for you, get a better job or stop playing the game. "b.better story" Only your opinion, which is as valid as mine. I like the storyline in WOW. "c.less cartoonish" Again, your opinion. While I would like it to look a little more realistic, I don't view it negatively that it is not. "d.no fee" Get a job, or quit playing. "e.better community" Not from what I've seen. But thats all perspective. "f.and other stuff" Meaning nothing. Anyway, to conclude. My biggest problem with the game is how addictive it tends to be. I use to run home from work, and play the game 4-5 hours a night. Now I am down to 1 hour a day, which is where I will stay with my playing time. I guess that is a good sign that it is a really good game. WarCraft III- Reign of Chaos

3 stars (Amazing... but I'd rather have a game more like Starcraft.) - In a few ways Warcraft 3 is good, but I prefer more of a Starcraft type game. WC3 has better graphics by far, more strategy, and definetly much harder because of the addition of heroes. Obviously WC3 has better graphics. It was released after Starcraft and produced by the same company, better graphics are expected. The games cinematic movies are amazing, the characters come to life through the lines and lines of programming. Even the graphics in the normal game play are quite good compared to any other game. You can see distinct features on each of the character models, and they are pretty impressive. The graphics are great but they dont *make* the game. The game requires much more strategy, and this is its downfall. While Starcraft was easy to learn and easy to play WC3 requires so much attention and multi-tasking it is sickening. In SC you could beat down one and sometimes two people easily just by massing the basic unit and upgrading them. In this game, you've gotta get all the units because they benefit eachother, you need buffers, healers, damage dealers, everything! If you don't have one type of unit, and the enemy does you've got no chance and are going to be decimated. He'll walk all over you and since it takes so long to build an army after he destroys you on the battlefield he'll walk right into your base and "game over." Starcraft is much more easy-going when it comes to units. Having a specific type of unit such as a defiler to cast plague, or a high templar to cast psi storm can help immensely but its not absolutely necessary to have your victory. Not to mention if your armies are destroyed out in the map you can see what units the enemy has. By the time he gets to your base you could have a whole new army and in turn whipe out his forces. Heroes in the game are, I admit, a cool feature. They give you a sense of power, and even look cool! The thing is they are actually much too...

WarCraft III Expansion- The Frozen Throne

4 stars (a Nice edition after all) - the expansion was nice specially the story and new add-on's to the game(unites, building and magical abilities ,..etc). But I didn't enjoy the game that much because the game was running sluggish because of my computer....ahhhh....time for a new NVIDIA graphic card. I recommend this pack to warcraft hordes. 5 stars (A top notch creation, as expected from Blizzard) - Blizzard is known for their million seller series of Starcraft, Diablo, and Warcraft. If you never heard of Blizzard, then you must be out of PC gaming world. Their existence is that important. So, like expected, Blizzard brought us another wonderful add-on to an already incredible game; and it's name is Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne. This is a must-get for any RTS mania. It is so good that in fact, anyone that ever played any video game in his/her life needs to buy this. There is so much more than just plain old stragety to this game. Campaign mode is just jaw-dropping good. The cinematics are way over the top of anything, especially when you acknowledge the fact that this game was released in the summer of 2002. Already 3 years old but it doesn't seem like it because if you're a TFT player you know there are so many things to do with the game that you rarely get bored. Aside from the world first class Campaign mode, there is the unbelievable map editor that comes with the game CD in which you get to not only edit existing maps by changing terrains, but start fresh new with an empty map and fill it with stuff, or use triggers to make custom games that exceed the popularity of most other RTS games....which is a real shame. I mean, you would expect game makers to make games right after seeing so many people go kuckoo over Starcraft, but in 9 years there has never been a single RTS game that came nearly close to the greatness of Starcraft in my opinion. Warcraft III Battle Chest

5 stars (Incredibly fun) - Addicitive doesn't begin to cover it, this game is more than addictive. I've even started looking at the RPG books. 4 stars (Oh the pain..oh the pity) - If you do not floss everyday for sure, There are consequences that you must endure, A pain, a bloody pain, a toothache be what it is. Another day, another cadet, oh bony fire, oh my cheese. A melody through my ears, piercing as a metallic spear, Be cunning and agile as you may be, for now i no longer hear, I am a singing bird, on a tree or maybe on weed. I am a flying raccon, pick my nose for me please, that is my need. In my life I've loved one person, how shall I address thee. I cannot stop thinking about you, for it is time for me to pee. I am blinded by your magic. That is forbidden, sealed dark arts. But the life I once had is sucking away from me, and I must depart. But I'm hungry, so I stopped for a while. Oh, bless the poor child, the winter has come and the restaurent seems away by miles. What cursed luck, I might pass out. I am challenged, and yet it was just mere food that I sought. Mmmmm, talkin about food makes me want to stop writing this ilogical poem. A terrible, shameful poetry indeed. But I am in an urgent need. A need for food and maybe for a melon seed. But it is my warning that you must heed. Tell them that you found this review helpful or be in a flammering guilt for the rest of your life. Warcraft- Of Blood and Honor

4 stars (Outstanding, provisionally...) - Mr. Metzen's 'Of Blood and Honor' is a stirring tale of a paladin's struggle between duty and honor. It is also a metaphor for racial hatreds and the blind injustices that sometimes result. I found this short tale charming and immersive. A quick note of caution. This being my first Adobe e-reader format e-book purchase, I was disappointed to discover that the 'permissions' (or lack thereof) make the book unprintable. Also, the download is registered by both the server from which it is downloaded and by the e-reader software on the computer to which it is downloaded. Ultimately, what this means is: Make sure you are willing to read this only from a monitor. You also cannot make backup copies, nor can you download the book again if something goes amiss (although I'm sure with a quick e-mail, Amazon.com will hook you up). Technical media issues aside, the book is worth the price. Enjoy it. 4 stars (Overall Well Written) - Blood and Honor was very comparable to Day of the Dragon, the other Warcraft book. The character of Fordring and the inner turmoil he faces are very well developed and the impact that his decisions have make for some wonderful plot twists. The book does a great job at foreshadowing more to come and there's even some surprise visitors in the book! Probably my only complaint and this is minor is the appearence of certain characters in the novel that I had believed something else had occured to them in the games. This is maybe a little picky and doesn't detract from the overall story, just thought it was interesting. I highly recommend this book, it's a quick read and keeps those epages turning! ...
