2 stars (Information Too Difficult to Find and Too Small Print to Read) - This book contains a lot of information, however some of it is too difficult to locate and the print is so small that you have to use a magnafying glass to read it!! I have used it twice and threw it in a drawer. It has grown to encompass a broader range of information than later competitors such as the Comics Buyer's Guide or ComicBase. Although many price guides come and go, this long-standing publication (which has been running for over 35 years) has become one of the inextricable elements of comic collection history. 2 stars (not useful for the traveler) - Really disapointed that the new software has no voice directions when driving MS streets & trips is worthless unless you have a co-pilot. On company trips I cannot use unless I stop every mile to get directions. Graphic are good, MS support are useless and never respond to email 3 stars (A step back from 2004, but still good) - The overall quality is good but. - There are still many inaccuracies. MicroSoft doesn't really take suggestions very well. - The GPS interface is buggy to the point of utter worthlessness - The substitution of Slow/Ave/Fast for the speeds on various road types in lieu of the previous numerical inputs is a BIG step back as far as I am concerned. 5 stars (Just like wine, it is only getting better with the years!) - Tuesday, September 14, 2004 I receive my edition of Streets & Trips 2005 this week. As a Paramedic in Montreal, Canada, since 16 years, I have to say that Streets & Trips as allow me to save at least 7 lives so far in my career, how? : I use it to know every single detail like one way streets, road closure, and new streets in the sector that I'm assigned witch allows me to stay on top of the latest development , IT'S SAVE US TIME TO GET WHERE WE HAVE TO GO WITH PRECISION and Streets & Trips delivers. ALL my colleagues that use Streets & Trips are saying the same thing, we have tried other software and all of us came to the same conclusions: nothing come even close to it. I can recall 7 emergencies's called that I manage to get on scene before the Fire department and the Police, 7 of theses emergency's where life threatening and because we where there faster because I knew the road closure and one way's, it has made a difference in our patient condition, a POSITIVE one. Microsoft Works Suite 2005 Money- Encarta- Picture It- Streets -amp- Trips- Word 2002

3 stars (Decent software, but not worth the cash) - Microsoft has, as always, produced decent software. It is nothing to get excited over, but it does its job. The problem with this software, as with all other Microsoft software, is that it is so overpriced. If it is your company buying or something, then go ahead and get it, the software works well, and it does its job as well as anything else you're going to find, not to mention that since most other people use Microsoft products, your documents will be compatible. But if you are buying for yourself, I strongly suggest you look into something else. There are numerous open source programs available on the internet, as well as other commercial programs that can be bought for less money that will work just as well. As for the other programs (money, encarta, picture it, streets & trips), they are also not that great. Why buy an expensive Microsoft encarta when you have Wikipedia? Why buy streets and trips when you have MapQuest and Google Earth? Why buy Money when you can get other programs that are just as good if not better either cheap or free? The choice is up to you 3 stars (Dont think I'll like it as much..........) - as my old Works Suite 2002. I tried installing the 2002 suite on my new computer. Kept getting an error message about not being able to display the EULA agreement for me to accept, and thus wont install the Works Task launcher. I tried all the "fixes" but it just wouldnt install, so, I bought the Works Suite 2005 from Amazon. Well, I got an error message after I installed it. This time about not being able to run it on Windows 95, 98 and 2000. Well, I'm using XP Pro. Long story short, I just right clicked on TASK LAUNCHER, THEN COMPATIBILITY, THEN UNCHECKED THE COMPATIBILITY MODE BOX, and the program started up. I also had to uninstall Office 2003, which uses Word 2003 because Works Suite 2005 uses Word 2002. This was on the advice of Microsoft Tech support. I was shocked to find ...
