Look forward to the next purchases. 5 stars (Excellent book) - The book is very useful for students or engineers who want to have a heat and mass transfer book at hand. I am a student and want to find a good book about heat and mass transfer, after buying this book using a discount from coupons-center.com and used it for 3 months, I found this book is very helpful when I am studying. It not only teaches you the basic knowledge, but also list a lot of good examples which are easily understood. I learned a lot from this book. 5 stars (GR8 book for the NOVICE) - This book is one of the best I have ever read for all my courses I had in my ME curriculum. Heat transfer is a very interesting phenomena and I didnt know about it till I was introduced to this courses. All the various modes of heat transfer-conduction,convection and radiation give you a better insight about normal day physics, I shud say..... As far as the book is concerned, its great in fact its written by one of our Professor's Dewitt here at Purdue.. Yeah but he doenst teach anymore too bad:( enjoy this subject! ...

CCNA 1 and 2 Companion Guide- Revised Cisco Networking Academy Program 3rd Edition Cisco Networ

2 stars (Poorly written) - I am using this book in a CCNA semester 1 class. Although it is by Cisco and therefore contains the information they want you to know, it is poorly written. It is as if the original text were 3 times as long, and to shorten it, they had to take out every third sentence, because it does not flow, and concepts are often only half-explained. I am *often* reading it and think "What????" (And I'm fairly certain it's not just me - I have a B.S. and M.S in Computer Science and plenty of real-world computer experience). All in all, I have to say that this is not a high-quality book. Although it's not a substitute for the CCNA material, I really like the book called "Interconnections" by Radia Perlman. 5 stars (An Excellent Companion) - Cisco seems to have made a transition from being a high performance workstation and server supplier to being a supplier of high end networking equipment. It seems like you cannot go into an Internet Service Provider without seeing at least some Cisco equipment. As such, being an authority on Cisco equipment and even more important understanding the Cisco approach to networking is a good start on employment. And the crowning achievement is the Cisco Certified Network Associate certificate. This book is a companion to the on line course. It was written by the people who wrote the exam so it covers what you need to know to pass it. ...

5 stars (Top Flight Calder) - The book gives you the tech you need, in terms you can understand. Calder is very impressive in his ability to impart knowledge to the layman. Don't however, assume this is just fluff overview, because it truly is the down and dirty of how it works and how to maintain it. 5 stars (A Cruiser's Engine Atlas) - This book provides the reader with a broad overview of most of the basic problems that can occur and offers simple solutions. I have recommended/loaned my copy of this book to several Diesel sailboat owners. The all remarked on how simple their repair was according to the book and how it save them $$. I do find the book is a little lacking in coverage of large powerboat diesels, but the concepts seem applicable. 5 stars (Know Your Diesel) - My copies of this book has grease stained fingerprints throughout. A lot of folks have told me they think this book is redundant, because much of the info is covered in Mr. Calder's Mechanical & Electrical Manual but this smaller book is easier to work with when working around your engine and the material is presented differently enough that the book is one I believe you should have if you live on a boat. ...
