Datapilot Cell Phone Data Transfer Suite Sanyo USB

4 stars (Must have) - I you have more than 20 phone numbers this is a must have. At Sprint they were unable to transfer my phone book from my old phone to my new one (although they were able to do the transfer for my wife and a friend that had/have the exact same phones). This enable us to share number, plus keep a back up on the computer in the event of a problem. I would have given this product 5 stars if the ringtone portion of the software was worth anything (ie: if you were able to convert and transfer MP3's) but alas for the price the phone book feature alone makes it worth it. 5 stars (Fantastic Product!) - I have only written a few reviews... too little time. But I am so pleased by this product that I will make time. This product includes the USB cord AND software. (Some companies sell each product separately... ) What a success! My cell phone is Sprint's Sanyo PM-8200. Works perfectly at home and office with Windows XP and Outlook. I've transferred pictures, updated and backed up my contact list without problems. Reading and editing outlook appointments on the phone has been less optimal due to phone limitations. However, the software product works. The price was a bargain, considering that other stores, i.e., Radio Shack, several on-line stores... were much higher... nearly 2x the price I paid at Amazon. Although I have only one Sanyo Cell-phone, I was pleased to read that I could connect up to "five" different phones. Anyway... this product works. If I lost the software and USB cord, I would buy this product again. 3 stars (Very quirky item) - I just needed an easy way to get pictures off my camera onto my computer. After emails to and from tech support we got this product to work. And for what I need it for it works fine. I have even used it to upload some ringtones to my phone which worked fine as well. There is some tweeking that needs to be done from time to time. (Re-booting usually does the trick.) I paid way too much ...

1 stars (Highly Disappointing) - Much too vague to be called the complete guide. A few helpful techniques are included but for the most part it was a huge disappointment. Think I will stay with the tried and true collage artists who are well versed in sharing their knowledge. 5 stars (Incredible artist, amazing book!) - I was so excited when I heard Karen Michel was writing her first book and was willing to share her incredible photo altering techniques with us. These techniques will get you to break out all your old and not quite "perfect" photos and will help you turn them into amazing works of art. The instructions are clear and the graphic design is beautiful! This book has a permanent place with my other favorites on my night stand so I can look at it again and again! - claudine hellmuth author, Collage Discovery Workshop and Collage Discovery Workshop:Beyond the Unexpected 5 stars (Layering, texture and the pleasures of distress.) - Here is a visual feast of lush painterly textures and fabulous vibrant coats of color upon gesso upon color, and while I am for the most part completely satisfied with the amount of how-to information and the spare style of presentation, it was obvious to me from the beginning that artists not previously experienced in paint materials or not as familiar with the use of paint and gesso in a book format might be a little disappointed with the very sparsity of step by step photos that I'm actually a little relieved to be skipping over this time. If you've had some art classes or are fairly familiar with common AB techniques and have perused the other AB how-to books and maybe keep up with threads on blogs or mailing lists about popular materials, chances are you won't be left behind by Michel's straightforward but not intensively detailed instructions. This is not a book where you follow A to B to C to instant "Karen Michel" art. There are progressive photos of steps, but not in the same minute way we've come to expect steps ...

The New Book of Image Transfer - How to Add Any Image to Almost Anything with Fabulous Results

5 stars (VERY cool projects!) - FINALLY! I found something that is not only fun to do, but I actually can do it well! This book gives you full details on using your photos (or other images) to decorate vases, frames, candles and all kinds of things in your home. I've made some nice gifts which can be really easy with the techniques shown in the book. Great ideas, great instruction! I like that she included clip art in the back of the book as well - I love projects like these but I'm not always the most imaginative person in the world. It's good to have ideas in front of me. 5 stars (This is a great book!) - This book tells you everything you need to know about making your own transfers. I especially love all of the introductory information. It's a resource that I can refer to again and again! And the projects are very clever and fun. ...

Datapilot Cell Phone Data Transfer Suite Universal

1 stars (Don't waste the money) - I'm not happy with the purchase of this software at all. Having an LG VX7000 cellphone with camera, I have a lot of pictures and numbers in my phone and wanted to back them up. I could never get this software to operate properly. After installing per instructions on a Windows XP platform on a laptop, I could never get the software to perform the functions I bought it for. I bought it to: 1) Download and back up my phone directory, 2) Upload songs as ringtones and other custom-made songs, and 3) Download pictures from my phone to my laptop. NONE of these functions worked. 1) In trying to download my phone directory to my laptop, the software ceased working and Windows closed down my laptop by performing a Windows memory dump and then re-booting (EVERYTIME, not just once or a few times). 2) Everytime I tried to upload an MP3 song as a new ringtone, the software failed by either saying I had no connection, or that my phone memory was full (it wasn't and had over 3 Mb of space). 3) When i tried to download pictures from my phone to the laptop, the software ran EXTREMELY slow in running any transfers and eventually locked up my computer. I successfully downloaded only one of 86 pictures before giving up. Telephone support was hard to get, as I was put on hold three times and gave that up too. After reading reviews on the product, I gave up any effort to resolve this. I wished I had read these other reviews before buying the software, as I would never have bought it. 3 stars (Better than entering data by hand) - The software basically works but it is quirky and not much fun . . . but, yeah, it is a whole lot better than entering the data by hand. Not much was supported on my new phone but all I wanted was to import my phone directory rather than have to enter several hundred numbers manually -- and importing the directory was one of the functions supported.
