5 stars (A Must for Every Parent and Teacher) - This book absolutely transformed my relationship with my difficult teenager. We had been stuck in a pattern of disappointment and poor school performance for years. This book was the missing ingredient and now his father and I are proud and completely hopeful for a boy who was headed down the wrong path. 5 stars (Busymomof4) - My oldest son is 17 and has been displaying defiant and baffling behavior since he was in 2nd grade. We have been to numerous counselors and psychologists, and no one could ever explain his behavior to me. He is an under-energized kid with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and now in drug treatment. THANK YOU HOWARD GLASSER, for the first time I feel like I understand my kid and I have a direction to go in when he finishes treatment. I have three other children, who are not currently experiencing any difficulty, but are all highly energetic. My 4-yr old is eerily similar in lots of ways to his big brother. The information was stated in a what I feel was a vulgar way to say things and there is no evidence of any morality whatso ever. As soon as I finished it it went into the waste basket. 5 stars (Useful Book with a Contemporary Viewpoint) - What I liked best about this book is that it treats women as if their bodies will react in predictable ways if the right buttons are pushed, and the author doesn't leave pushing the correct buttons solely up to the man. Why indeed, are women so varied in plumbing and psychology that many have dificulty achieving orgasm at all and yet almost all men achieve orgasm quite easily (at least while young)? Answer - they are NOT! Women are entitled to achieve orgasms just like men. You don't have to feel self-conscious. Just learn to face sex without fear and with a new measure of confidence you can learn with this book. 4 stars (Excellent Book ) - This can be a real challenge for some women, and also for some men who love women. In that respect, I think this book is a very good basic manual on the subject of orgasm and satisfaction, allowing both men and women to gain more of a grasp on the subject of female orgasm. There are some other books which are also excellent, most obviously being Tom Leonardi's "SECRETS OF SENSUAL LOVEMAKING" which provides a very masculine step-by-step plan or "system" for bringing a woman to what the author calls The Ultimate Orgasm, which involves the g-spot and the controversial mystical Female Ejaculating Orgasm. Contrast that with 5 MINUTES TO ORGASM EVERY TIME's guidance toward the Clitoral variety. With the help of Leonardi's book and a caring man, I have come to be a great enjoyer of Both now. 5 stars (Mr. Grossman has done it again!!!!!!!!!!) - Out of all the training manuals and books that we have to read as Marines, this book has more facts and "what to expect" in a combat environment than any of them I have read. Just this past Feb/March, I returned home from Fallujah, Iraq where I was with RCT-1. We killed 2500 terrorists and lost 115 Marines in the 7 months I was there. Knowing everything I learned from that experience, I could not give even half the information he has provided in this book. I have read all of Mr. Grossman's book and watched all of his tapes, I CANNOT say enough great things about them. They are packed with information and knowledge that ALL law enforcement, military, security personnel, and parents should read!!! Great Book!!!!! 5 stars (Warrior psychology) - As a military man who has seen combat and as a former police officer facing stress on the streets due to life and death situations, there is much we can do to mentally prepare ourselves. This book brings to light experiences in "combat-type stress" which can aide in understanding and give assistance to handle the fear/guilt/stress of having to deal with killing/survival actions. I recommend this book for any and all military personnel; And this book should be manditory reading in all police academies. 5 stars (Simply the best training book on the subject) - From all the books I have on the subject, this is the first that can be used as training material. It's comprehensive, easy to use and read, and the reader isn't bored to death with lenghty oppinions by the authors. They present everything that you need to know in an easy and fun training program. 5 stars (Practical and not overwhelming) - It is very important to be able to follow people who have experience with a subject. If someone has done it before then I know I can do it too. Great book, well written. 5 stars ( Mastering Astral Projection vs Astral Dynamics) - While defiantly not as technical or detailed as his other book, Astral Dynamics, Mastering Astral Projection provides the techniques in a much more structured format. I had owned Astral Dynamics for over a year, periodically doing some of the exercises, but unable to make any real progress. By the end of the first month of using this new book my energy body was buzzing all day long and even my normal dreams were being regularly transformed into OBEs. The affirmations plus the additional exit techniques make this book unique from its predecessor, but most important for me was the day by day structure which forced me to take the time and do the work needed to be able to consciously project. It supports all areas of reading in grades K-8. Also it has wonderful advice about ELL students. Not only does this book have information about teaching reading, but it has hands on teaching methods that are proven practices. Some of the larger areas of the book are word structure, sound/print connection, decoding, spelling, vocabulary development, comprehension, reading and responding, and differentiated instruction. CORE Teaching Reading Resourcebook greatly compliments Words Their Way, another must have book. One downfall about this book is the page numbering system, but as you work from the book it becomes less difficult. My first book was given to me from the California Reading and Literature Project and I'm buying another copy for my son, who is also a teacher. 5 stars (A compendium of qualitative research: Absolute gold!) - I bumped on to this book accidentally in a library while seeking for a book on qualitative research. Being a novice in qualitative research I spend the next week reading it everyday to get my first glimps into what qualitative research is. It is absolute gold for two reasons: - It content is topical and up todate. Even for a beginner it is absolutely readable. The content is not lost in academic jargons but simple everyday English. - The detailed bibliography speaks for itself and what is more it is given after every section. It allows the researcher to find more information elsewhere. I have decided that it is a book one should own in his or her private library. Thank you. Ever since I've purchased it, many of my colleagues (I'm a social scientist at KU) ask to borrow it, but I never let it go. Just about any question I have about qualitative research can be answered, to some degree, with this book. What's more, even in some of the more controversial areas of qualitative research the book points to other readings that may shed light on alternate perspectives. Just buy the book. I did, and I don't regret it for a moment. It's also nice in that it covers a wide variety of disciplines and contexts -- journalists, sociologists, communicologits, psychologists, and political scientists can all use the book with equal ease. One area, though, that I've heard the book is not as strong toward is anthropology. But remember that no one book can tell you everything there is to know about a magickal and spiritual path, so read it alongside other books on magick and wicca. 5 stars (Easy Spanish Phrase Book Better With Language Dynamics CDs) - I highly recommend Easy Spanish Phrase Book: Over 770 Basic Phrases for Everyday Use This book is so useful because it uses high frequency vocabulary and 770 phrases that anyone could successfully use anywhere in the Spanish speaking world.. Being a long-time user of Language Dynamics products including Speed Spanish and Behind the Wheel Spanish I have to agree with Amazon's recommendation that they're better with Easy Spanish Phrase Book. The categories are quite similar and this small book enhances the lessons learned on the spoken CD courses. At times, I even thought they were part of the same course. Since 'Over 770 Basic Phrases for Everyday Use' doesn't come with CDs, I recommend you use either Speed Spanish or Behind the Wheel Spanish so you can learn to pronounce the words correctly from a great native Spanish speaker. The two form the ideal combo for learning Spanish. 5 stars (Good Choice) - This book is an excellent way to learn important phrases that aren't easily transferable from English to Spanish. 5 stars (wow!) - Wow, This book is such a great value! Behold a Pale Horse

1 stars (Ruse, Hoax, Fallacy) - Yes, Bill Cooper really instilled fear in many people didn't he? Now, do not get me wrong, this book was an interesting read. I did find it to be a unique piece of fiction. I basically have two words: Conspiracy Theory. Wait, here's a third word: hoodwink. Theory-no, it's not even theory. It's a hoax. I feel that there could possibly be some truth to his book, but only in immeasurably small bits and pieces and sporadically. I cannot fathom the Area 51 alien story and the reason behind the Kennedy murder plot. When I got to that part in the book, it pretty much became comical to me. Please understand you can believe what you want to believe and I am about the only one who has given this book a low rating. I suggest one should pick up their Bible for all truths, and not to look to Bill Cooper for answers. He was just a man, and yes, he is now gone. I am only sad this rating cannot be a zero. But one is good; just for the comic relief, the unique fictional storyline. Someone asked me to read it and let me borrow their book. This person told me to keep the book hidden and if I wanted to buy a copy for myself, use cash and try to be quiet about it. They told me they were followed after purchasing the book. Let me explain something to you-this book is a ruse, a joke. This man found secret documents on an old copy machine? How convenient is that? How convenient is it that Bill Cooper of all people was able to get TOP SECRET documents off of some old garbage copier? And he recanted the alien stories? How about the AIDS epedimic, the Kennedy asassination, the presidents all being part of a satan worshipping society? Has anyone really thought about the real reasons behind some of these terrors? As I and others can attest to, we have long needed a practice oriented book for the Geotech PM Depth. Improve your odds and get Geotechnical review book by soilstructure.com My copy is well worth the price. 4 stars (Worthwhile investment) - I bought this reference to use for studying for the PE, along with its accompanying study guide; however, I ended up studying only about 4 hours before the PE test. I made my first pass through each session using my normal references, leaving blank any difficult to find problems. I then went back through with this book. I passed the test (in 2002), but in hindsight, I would have done it the other way, That is, use the CE Reference first and then try my other books. This book is a real time saver, and the index is very thorough. I also use it regularly in practice. For perspective, I took the "Water Resources" test. 5 stars (Perfect companion for the morning session) - This book is more or less standard-issue for PE-takers (come exam day, you'll see zillions of the CERM scattered throughout the exam hall). If you find yourself on the fence about shelling out the $$ for it, I've found it to be a good investment. Having recently taken and passed the PE exam, I can attest to this book's usefulness. The index, in particular, I found to be pretty expansive - I used it to find answers to more than one problem where I was fairly clueless. Please note, the CERM's utility is certainly highest on the morning (breadth) section. Although it won't be entirely useless on the afternoon (depth) portion of the exam, you'll definitely utilize other references more heavily. 5 stars (beyond what we expected) - Excellent reading, extremely informative. Family of six and we are all enjoying this book. 5 stars (Animal-Speak: The Spiritual & Magical Powers of Creatures Great & Small) - Love it. Gives great insight into the magic of animals. 5 stars (The pioneering work on neopagan totemism) - This is the book a lot of the others try to be. (Unfortunately, a lot of them don't progress beyond this basic point). One of the first books published on neopagan totemism, Animal-Speak deserves its good rep. It's a very thorough introduction to animal totems and provides a lot of working material without spoonfeeding. The totem dictionary is detailed, but there needs to be more emphasis on the fact that this is what *Andrews* gets out of each animal, and that individual results almost always vary. "Animal-Speak" gets 5 stars mainly because it pretty much was the first of its kind, is well-written and is a book basic resource. ...
