90 Minutes In Heaven- A True Story of Death - Life

4 stars (Good Book but Name is Misleading) - A very good and interesting book, however, the 90 minutes in heaven only take up a couple of pages. The rest of the book deals with all the aspects of recovering from a major accident. I think everyone can learn something from reading this book. Hopefully we will not have to go through similar recovery periods to learn the lessons that are passed on in this book. I would definitely recommend this book! 5 stars (Very Convincing....) - From my own 36+ years of experience walking with God on & off the mission field, the chapters detailing the author's experience before the "pearlescent" main gate of New Jerusalem really witnessed to me. His experience only takes up two chapters in the book, but for me they were almost life-changing - and they did forever alter my perceptions of my temporary stay here on this earth. Brother Piper writes, "I get frustrated describing what heaven was like, because I can't put into words what it looked like, sounded like, and felt like." Nevertheless, he does a good enough job in my humble estimation. Piper states further, "The only way I've made sense out of that part of the experience is to think that if I had actually seen God, I would never have wanted to return (to earth)." Every sentence he writes seems worthy of pondering & meditating over - it is almost as if one is experiencing what he experienced as it is read. The difference between these two chapters & the rest of the book is dramatic Piper must deal with the reality of a broken body as the result of his horrendous accident & all the patient suffering he has endured as he witnesses to the glories of "90 minutes in Heaven." It would be worthwhile to buy the book to read those two chapters alone, in my opinion. But the rest of the book is worthwhile for those many who have been & will continue to be encouraged by it in their own walk of faith. 5 stars (An Interesting Story...............) - All these reviews pretty much tell you ...

1 stars (Five Minutes to Orgasm Every Time You Make Love - etc) - It seemed that it took a long time to get to the point - it drug out - maybe to make the book longer. The information was stated in a what I feel was a vulgar way to say things and there is no evidence of any morality whatso ever. As soon as I finished it it went into the waste basket. 5 stars (Useful Book with a Contemporary Viewpoint) - What I liked best about this book is that it treats women as if their bodies will react in predictable ways if the right buttons are pushed, and the author doesn't leave pushing the correct buttons solely up to the man. Why indeed, are women so varied in plumbing and psychology that many have dificulty achieving orgasm at all and yet almost all men achieve orgasm quite easily (at least while young)? Answer - they are NOT! Women are entitled to achieve orgasms just like men. You don't have to feel self-conscious. Just learn to face sex without fear and with a new measure of confidence you can learn with this book. 4 stars (Excellent Book ) - This can be a real challenge for some women, and also for some men who love women. In that respect, I think this book is a very good basic manual on the subject of orgasm and satisfaction, allowing both men and women to gain more of a grasp on the subject of female orgasm. There are some other books which are also excellent, most obviously being Tom Leonardi's "SECRETS OF SENSUAL LOVEMAKING" which provides a very masculine step-by-step plan or "system" for bringing a woman to what the author calls The Ultimate Orgasm, which involves the g-spot and the controversial mystical Female Ejaculating Orgasm. Contrast that with 5 MINUTES TO ORGASM EVERY TIME's guidance toward the Clitoral variety. With the help of Leonardi's book and a caring man, I have come to be a great enjoyer of Both now. Then there are some videos or DVDs wich are excellent for both men and women who enjoy watching a demonstration of techniques in act...

Spanish in 10 Minutes a Day 10 Minutes a Day

3 stars (Good for a traveler, Not for a class) - I began using this as text for a class of mine, but quickly only used it as a supplement. You are to simply copy the words and say them in 10 minutes each day. It's a great theory, but very difficult to absorb any language through this method. The vocabulary is bent toward the traveler - what to pack, where's the restaurant, I'd like to order, that type of phrasing. The color pictures make it seem like it might be aimed at a younger crowd, but the exercises were a bit stale for anyone under high school age. Overall, this is a good crash course if you're about to leave for a week's vacation in a Spanish-speaking country. To learn how to truly communicate in Spanish, you need something more thorough on grammar points and practice. The fact that no CD comes with it also makes pronunciation a concern for the novice learner. For the much younger child, Flip Flop Spanish is a great tool which comes with a CD. 3 stars (Could have been good) - This is a way for people to learn spanish fast but the book goes through things very quickly so you will find that you either don't understand or forget thing easily. I only suggest this book to someone how just wants to travel to a country that speaks spanish for a week but not for people who are truly interested in learning to speak spanish fleuntly at a good level. 2 stars (Useful for Some; But Not the Best) - I found this book to be useful at first, but I later changed to "Spanish Made Simple" (Jackson, Rubio revised by Nemethy; make sure you get the 2004 edition). The latter book is not nearly as "simplified" as "Spanish in 10 Minutes", but I found the more methodical approach, reviews, and review tests to be more conducive to study. Make sure you also get some means of audio instruction to get the pronouciation right. I used the Pimsleur CD's which are very expensive but easily the best. (Look for them in your library first.) ...

Sams Teach Yourself SQL in 10 Minutes

5 stars (Fantastic Book for an Advanced Beginner) - My favorite feature of this book is the emphasis on defining basic concepts clearly and in a logical order. I've bought a number of these self-teaching computer books over the years (several on Access), and this is the first one I've gotten any real good out of. I'm half way through, and find I'm learning a lot about databases and how they work, not just the SQL language. I've been writing databases in Access for years and always found it a struggle. I'm having a much better time with that now, and I've got to believe it's due to studying the materials in this book. I'm half way through the book and still going strong. I never made it more that 25 pages into any of the other books I bought. Maybe I won't have to go take an SQL class at the local community college after all! That should tell the story right there. 4 stars (Takes longer then 10 but great) - This is an excellent reference and quit source for anyone trying to get the feel for SQL programming. Simple enough for a novice user and techical enough to more seasoned. I would recommend it to anyone using databases. 4 stars (Great for Beginner or Refresher for casual SQL user.) - This is a great quick book for a beginner or casual SQL user. I don't use heavy sql everyday so I often forget syntax especially when working between different DB environments. This book is a quick refresher that allows me to pick it up and find what I need right away. The chapters are split into specific funtions (i.e. inserts, queries, grouping etc...) So you know exactly where to look. For a beginner the cost to familiarize oneself can't be beat. I would buy this book before the more expensive learning books because this one hits the raw basics without diverging into other topics and causing confusion. ...

5 stars (Chapter 11 is Worth The Entire Cost of the Book) - Chapter 11, titled "I'll Think About It", is a priceless chapter. In speaking with people when presenting your product his examples he uses are broken up into 3 categories. It is so simple yet so powerful! The rest of the book is laid out in easy to understand language that can make you understand why people think the way they think. As a professional business executive I had to give this book the highest rating. It is well worth the money and should be added to your library. 5 stars (continuation of Cialdini's Influence) - I was extremely captivated by Cialdini's Influence: Science and Practice, which is one of the best read book ever on the subject of influence. i have read many other influence and persuation books since. this one is the best, and should be a requiered reading to extend the original cialdini's book. while cialdini's book is more simple and clear with the 6 weapons, this one is more rich and expanded to various details of the influence. Basically, the book is about how people react to certain situation and how we can maximise our effort. people are more emotional rather than rational. how the same offering can be arranges to be more attractive. Each technique will yield a lot of success if we can smartly apply it to our daily life. Hogan took a lot of various sources materials and put them together, along with his own research, into this wonderful book. If you are a salesperson, negotiator, leader, or person with anything to do with people, you should read this and try out some of the techniques explained. My book has been read and re read and flipped and marked, and i have used a lot of the materials for my seminars, and i still love this book and re read it often. 3 stars (Good) - I like the different exercises on every other day- it worked out pretty well for me with my week days- but some of the info seems to be rehashed over and over again in his books.Some of the moves bothered my low back at times- morning vs the evening so I changed around the execersies it seem to work. Hope this helps. 3 stars (2nd best, but it DOES rank!) - I think Jorge Cruise has a lot to offer and I certainly love his technique, but I believe his first book "8 Minutes in the Morning: A Simple Way to Shed up to 2 Pounds a Week Guaranteed" was by far #1. Here's why: - 8 min. flat belly had a lot of repeat information from the original 8 minutes, which is to be expected because they both market to others, but if you have already read and followed the original 8 minutes book, I doubt you'll appreciate this one. - I FELT a lot thinner in all areas while doing the original 8 minutes routine than I ever did while doing the flat belly program. It reccommends mixing hip and thigh spot training with all over body moves, I just didn't feel a difference. - The original has a few paragraphs of motivation before every routine, lean hips doesn't. The motivation was a big factor for me. - The original has different routines every day for 4 weeks!! Lean hips has only 1 week of each level (easy, intermediate, hard). I know every body is different and perhaps if you begin with this book you would like it, but my overall opinion is that the original is #1!! 5 stars (8 Minutes in the Morning to Lean Hips and Thin Thighs) - This is THE exercise and eating plan book I've been needing all my life! 5 stars (Good and Practical) - I expect to hear many success stories of people following Jorge Cruise's "8 minutes in the morning" routine. It is really easy to follow as it takes neither a lot of time nor a lot of effort. I think it is a plan for anyone. I suggest anyone who is interested in health to consider purchasing this book. Suggested meals are also tasty. What I especially like about Jorge Cruise is that he does not suggest any diet that requires giving up some ingredients such as fats or carbohydrates. NO counting of calories or banning of foods - that fits me well! Similar like M. Tombak in his book "Can We Live 150 Year?" Jorge Cruise makes sure that you have a balanced diet. Dr. Tombak, however, focused more at one's health and longevity rather than good looks. But surprisingly, when you follow Tombak's advice good looks just come about as a natural outcome of good physical and psychological health. If you add to this your "8 minutes in the morning" plan, you are set for success... 3 stars (more to it than the title) - What the title and other reviews here don't tell you is that Jorge recommends you cleanse your system every Saturday with a laxative. Not the way I want to spend my weekend. 2 stars (YOU NEED MORE THAN 8 but good choices) - I Look for books all the time on this topic to see if there any new moves I can pick up to help shape and tone the stomach area which is a problem for most of us. I think if you are just starting out this book will help you understand the positions you need to get into but it's going to take alot more than 8 minutes to get results and I have been training for years. ...
