PS2 Star Wars Battlefront II

4 stars (Very good for a Star Wars game) - I've got to state up front that I suffer from major Star Wars burnout -- the first movie (1977) was great, everything else has been merchandising -- so my praise for this game is not given lightly. Gameplay is smooth and dynamic, some Star Wars games we've had in the past have been really dreadfully behind the times, this feels like it's state-of-the-art. The space combat is a welcome addition. My son clued me in on new characters previously not available to be played. It looks great on the screen. Overall? For a Star Wars game, very good. For any other game, ok. It's an improvement on previous Star Wars games, but for my money I just do not want to hear Obi Wan Kenobi's voice encouraging me to trust the force or take a droidica apart or anything like that. I'm just sick of Star Wars in general. Now, my son, who's eleven, thinks this is the best game he's played since Halo 2. So go forth and figure. 5 stars (THIS IS AN AWSOME SEQUEL THE BEST STAR WARS GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - I got this game and the SW Episode 111 dvd on the same day which was the release date. Once I started playing this game I was very pleased. This is the only thing that really bothers me is the story mode because you have to complete certain objectives that got kind of annoying but besides that they still have Galactic Conquest which is awsome and so is Instant Action and you get to play as Jedi/Sith celeberties and HAn,Chewee,Jango,Baba and Lehia. This is a game I strongly recomened this game to die-hard Star Wars fans such as myself and fans of the original SW Battlefront and to some Battlefield,Halo,Unreal, fans. This game is so will worth the money!!!! 1 stars (Absolutely incredible letdown) - After a week plus with this game, my initial reaction has been confirmed time and time again - This is a true hack job, an incredible disappointment and waste of money for most consumers. The graphic interface on this game is truly atrocious - overly...

XB Star Wars Battlefront II

5 stars (This game was perfect) - Starwars Battle Front II is a great game and any slight starwars fan would have no doubt about buying this game. On this game when you play campaign, Rise of the Empire, you start off as a Clone Trooper with your squad called the "501st" you battle just as you would in the movies. And instead of just taking over command posts and killing your enemys, like on the original Battle Front, the enemy has unlimited reinforcements so you better be quick because you only have a limited amount of troops and you now have objectives to do. Later in the game you turn into the Empire instead of the Clone Troopers. This game is almost like the first one, except now you can take the battle to space! To win space battles grab anything you can, a fighter, a bomber, or a transport ship, just get over to that enemy star destroyer and do anything you can to get rid of your enemy. You can either bomb the star destroyer from the outside or go inside and destroy anything you can by blowing it up. If you take a transport ship and land it in the enemy hanger that transport is a spawn point untill it is destroyed. On the battle field you have an opertunity to become a hero: Yoda, Obi Wan, Mace Windu, Darth Vader ect. Your hero does not last forever so you need to take advantage of the time you have by taking over highly guarded command posts or just wipeing out the enemy. Your hero has a time limit that goes down slowly, but when you get hit it takes a portion out of the amount of time you can use your hero, and when you kill an enemy a portion is gained. All heros have a second attack besides their light sabers, some have force lightning, others have force push, or force choke, and all the heros, equiped with a light saber, can throw their light sabers. The jedi heros can run very fast if sprinting, which is very usefull if you need to get somewhere quickly, and don't have a vehicle. Most of the weapons are still the same and there are new kinds of people...

Star Wars- Battlefront 2

4 stars (Worth the wait) - I dug out SW:BF1 the week before SW:BF2 released and played it for a day or so just to remind myself of the general gameplay. Others have already listed pros, cons, and recommendations; let me add to their lists rather than duplicate them: PROS: -- You get to (a) dogfight in space and (b) play as a Jedi or other 'hero' character (e.g., Boba Fett), all within the context of a given mission. -- The "Rise of the Empire" campaign is well thought out, if a bit dark (e.g., you get to assassinate the Queen of Naboo; I'm just grateful you don't have to kill the 'younglings' in the Jedi Temple). -- The overall gameplay is great, with larger and more complex environments. CONS (all relatively minor): --The Options/Controls panel is a pain to use (as when setting up a joystick). Someone needs to improve the UI design and general behavior on this; it strikes me as being somewhat 'quick and dirty.' --The shift to story/objective mode moves SW:BF2 towards the classic problems of a 'railroad' game, namely, you have to figure out how the designers intended you to complete the objectives and in what order. For example, in the Kashyyyk: First Line of Defense mission, I tried to destroy the CIS cruiser heavy turrets before I destroyed the enemy frigates, but SW:BF2 wouldn't let me. --Each mission has a number of sub-objectives, and there is no way to save a game within a mission. In other words, if you get to the very last mission task and die, you have to start the entire mission all over again. --There are a few glitches here and there. For example, in that same mission, SW:BF2 seemed to have a hard time figuring out when the other clone troopers should follow me over to the CIS cruiser. RECOMMENDATIONS: -- First, get a joystick. It's a lot easier to do the space combat with one, though you'll have to take some time to set up the controls (under Options). -- Second, if you don't have a lot of spare time, get the strategy guide. It doesn't ...

Star Wars- Battlefront

4 stars (i liked it) - star wars battle front is one of the best games that have been made on Ps2. It is not only fro star wars fans, it is also a great shoot em up game with heaps of different weapns and players to play as,worth paying the money for. 4 stars (The best Star Wars game I've played yet) - Star Wars Battlefront is a great game, despite a few minor flaws. Out of all the Star Wars titles I've played, it is by far the best. It offers all of the gameplay styles of the past Star Wars games, including battle on the aerial, vehicle, and soldier levels. You can fight as four sides on planets such as Bespin, Geonosis, Hoth, Endor, and Kashyyyk (One course, Rhen Var, was only in one short scene of Episode 3). The targeting and radar systems are good enough, but the missile lock-on systems are somewhat hard to use. You can fight as four sides, each with benefits and downsides. Rebels: While the Rebellion lacks some of the firepower of the Empire, they have the best starfighters in the entire game. Their special unit, the Wookie Smuggler, can drop time bombs and shoot several enemies at once. Empire: One of the best features of the Imperials is the ability to play as walkers- including the AT-AT, which can be used on Hoth and Rhen Var. Republic: This group focuses mostly on heavy weapons, with armored tanks, walkers, and gunships at their disposal. They are very similar to the Imperials, but have better starfighters. CIS (Trade Federation): Their vehicles are some of the worst in the game, but they make up for it with their droid soldiers. For the first time ever, you can play as the lethal Droideka, also known as the Destroyer Droid, from Episode 1. There are only two real downsides to this game. The first is that you can only battle within your side's Era. For example, the Rebellion can not fight the CIS in a battle. Also, every mode of gameplay is almost exactly the same- you must kill enemy soldiers and capture their Command Posts - so the game can get r...

PSP Star Wars Battlefront II

5 stars (First gta now this!!) - It's really a good game, the second best game for psp by a long shot (gta was really good too). I'll the titles out for psp have been crap, this and gta are really good games though, battlefront 2 is really great, it's just what you would expect. Although when people say there are long loading times, i'd have to agree but i read the tips and hints that are displayed while it's loading. My game hasn't froze yet and I've owned this game for over a week. What's up with all the knocking the controls, their fine, plus you get 5 different choices of control settings. The graphics are good, the difficulty's o.k ( could've of made a harder mode). You can play with every character from the first one and I truly enjoy this game and I think that you should go buy it right now, like just go, it's worth it and a very game so go and buy it a.s.a.p. 5 stars (Quoth the Raven "This game rocks!!!!!") - This has got to be the best game for the PSP! The graphics are excellent, the framerate is smooth, the space battles are emense and action packed, and the jedi characters are really fun to play as. This game is worth buying a PSP for!!! 5 stars (Last review sucks) - I like the game is so fun but hard and the guy who says this game is bad is a fool ...

Escape from Monkey Island Jewel Case

5 stars (Escape from Monkey Island, still the best...) - I had this game when it first came out, but many computers later and a lot of moves, and I couldn't find it.....Thanks to Amazon.com I was able to obtain a new copy and renew the challenging fun I remembered so well. The game is like trying to solve a logic puzzle, sometimes you get the next clue right away, sometimes it takes a bit longer.....The directions and controls are easy to use...The graphics, though not at the same level as some graphics today, still are great....I recommend this game for anyone who likes to pass the time playing logic puzzles, or anyone who wants to develop their skills in analyzing and deduction....No matter what your reason, most of all, HAVE FUN!!!! 4 stars (Good, but not as good as the last one.) - I enjoyed this game, I really did. However, I liked Curse of Monkey Island better. Why? Well, for one I found the climax of this game rather lame and silly. Can't say more than that without giving stuff away. Also, I was annoyed by the unnecessary system requirement inflation. In my opinion, the "animated movie" look of the last installment fit this series PERFECTLY. Pushing this one into 3D added nothing to the gameplay, and made the look WORSE, in my opinion. All it did was raise the system requirements for no reason at all, just because "EVERY new game MUST be 3D!!!!" 5 stars (a GREAT game! .. but hard to sell :( ) - I absolutely loved this game! The characters, the music, the art, the dialog .. it's all just done so amazingly well. The worst part about it for me was when it ended .. I just wanted it to keep going. I really, really hope they make another one. Unfortunately a game like this is not easy to sell to the general gaming public. It's hard to advertise to people what is so great about it and because of that I would imagine that it's difficult to sell many copies. I can only guess about the outrageous number of hours and the extreme amount of effort that must have g...

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2- The Sith Lords

4 stars (No Title(still)) - Knights of the Old Republic is the infamous 2003 game of the year. But the sequal is anything but game of the year material. I think that the one thing people liked about the first game was the detail, characters, and the plot twists. Okay, lets start in the detail. Once agian, the Bioware team knock my socks off with their insanly detailed character models, mabey not Halo or Metroid pixals, but it checks out in my book. Number dos, the characters. You once agian get thrown in with the oddest asortment of torture droids, jedi masters, and hot redhead bounty hunters. Thought some of your party members do reveal Revan's secrets -cough Keria- you can't find any party members famaly like you did with almost your whole party in the last game, although you do need some backround influnce to turn them into jedis'. The cameo aperences are extreme cameos, you see 10 seconds of Admiral Carth Onasi other than that, you have your two favorite droids in your posse (not C3-PO & R2), and HK-47 has some nice opions and voice recitings of Carth and the nice kissing scene with you and Bastaila, yep, HK heard it. The plot was intresting enough, but I think their should be better voice overs and less talking on Telos. I don't want to go too far into the plot, but heres a qustion before I leave. People and magazines hyped Darth Nithilus way too much and gave him a micro sized part in the game, why? Peace Out Shorties 1 stars (a disaterous hole in gaming) - WARNING:THIS GAME IS INCOMPLETE AND WILL LEAVE GAMERS FRUSTRATED AND BORED OUT OF THEIR RESPECTIVE WITS! That would be a good warning that Lucasarts could have slapped on the back of KOTOR2. This half-baked yet full priced game is a complete catastophe! So here is a joke. What do you get when you add broken gameplay, imcomplete storyline, confusing controls, and horrible graphics? KOTOR2 of course! Now you may think I am just being mean, but I don't particularly enjoy bashing games. I much rather enjo...

Star Wars Battlefront

5 stars (Starwars Battlefront) - As you know, battlefront takes placein the actual star wars wars. For example, Remember back in Episode V? when they fight in HOth, well, you get to play in that battle, and drive the big AT-AT's or the AT-ST's. also if you choose to be the rebles, you may play in the snowspeeders and harpoon the AT ATs down! also in episode II where they are in genosis, you get to fly the republic gunner ship. man is that fun. the controlls are soo easy to get used to, they are just like James Bond games or Halo. you can change the game point of view from 1st person to 3rd person, personally i like 1st persong. some errors i find about this game, is that many times i find myself being killed by no one, as if the guy is invisale. but i get used to it. its not too much of a problem, who knows, i may be blind :). so far thats the only glitch i have found. i have had this game for a couple of months now. instant actionand golatic conquest are the best modes in this game. also i would reccumend getting Battlefront II some time. 5 stars (Battlefield in a Star Wars setting) - Star Wars Battlefront is pretty much the same thing as any of the Battlefield games: giant, open ended battles that have infantry and vehicle combat. You can play as the rebels, the empire, the republic or the trade federation droid army. It has five different infantry classes. They are assault, sniper, anti-vehicle, pilot and a unique unit for each army. The rebels unique units are wookiees, The empire has dark troopers, the republic has jet troopers, and the trade federation has droidekas (destroyer droids). The AI is good for the most part. They dive for cover when a grenade is thrown their way and they use vehicles well. However, the AI does have a few problems such as their weird urge to get to a gun turret. Tons of times I've seen one of my troops go running away from a firefight to get to the nearest turret when we needed him at the battle. Also, whenever your reinfo...

Star War Battlefront Mac

4 stars (It's pretty good.) - i thought this game was good, but it was slower than the PS2 version unless u have like a mac G5. 4 stars (Star Wars Battlefront) - Get this game. Now, that said, I'll cover through this review a couple of cautions, then mention a perspective, then finish with Fun, Fun, Fun! By the way, have I mentioned that you should get this game? Definitely, this game is a must if you've ever thought it'd be fun to be a defender of the Old Republic, or if you'd rather defeat "Rebel scum." Or, even if you've thought you might like to take part in any of those grand battles of the Star Wars universe. Now for a couple of cautions. I was exceptionally excited after getting this game. And then upon initial installation (which was very smooth and simple), I was asked for the code to enter which would begin the game, easily found on the back side of the DVD-rom plastic case. Or, so I thought. The code didn't work. So, thinking I might have entered the wrong code, I looked all over the DVD, then the inside of the DVD case, and then on the all of the installation paperwork, the advertisement insert ... nothing. No joy. And I tasted the sour of a software lemon. Oy! [...] It seems the software code was misprinted on many of the software cases (mine included.) And with great ease, the correct software code was given to me at that web address. While the first caution was fairly easily solved over the internet, my second caution relates to my misunderstanding relating to use of the DVD. I thought the DVD was only for the initial installation. Ohhh, nooooo. Keep the DVD available; the game won't run without it. I suppose the payoff (Fun, Fun, Fun!) is definitely worth it, but having a Powerbook, I tend to travel extensively, and running the DVD drains the battery, and drains it but good. So, for me this was a bit of a frustration, so now I play the game with the power connected. So, play the game I do! I plugged my computer in, inserted t...

Star Wars Galaxies 60 Day Pre-Paid Game Card

1 stars (swg d.o.a. of cu 4/26/05) - cancelled ROTW expansion when CU hit. cancelled SWG days later. CU= death of SWG, and everyone knows it. WE WILL NOT PAY TO BETA TEST A PIECE OF S#$% GAME SOE. 1 stars (CU Destroyed SWG) - There has been a great disturbance in the Force, as though thousands of players cried out against the SWG "Combat Upgrade," and were silenced. Star Wars Galaxies used to be an extremely fun, engaging game. However, as of the end of April 2005, the game has completely changed. Just read some of the other reviews here talking about the so-called "Combat Upgrade." SOE is losing a lot of customers because they ruined Star Wars Galaxies. Now, it's just a cheap EverQuest 2 clone with Star Wars skins. If you want to play fun Star Wars games, try Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic 2. 1 stars (DON'Twaste your money!!!!) - Here's an honest question then... I went to 6 different MAJOR cities and NONE I say NO ONE was grouping and I play in one of the most crowded galaxies)... so what am I suppose to do? I'm level 80 and grinding Jedi (village points)... so I think ok ill give it try and try to FIND my level mobs to kill while I try to find a group, incappd, die, incapped, die, incapped, die, incapped die, etc... I was soooo freaking frustrated I wanted to cry. So you saying that the ONLY way I can play this stupid game is if I hang around starports for hours on end and try to find some people to group with, THEN hope that they will actually fight when we get there, (which ive heard some people just sitting back in groups and raking in the xp for doing nothing), and I don't know about anyone else but after about 4 strikes to the creature im spent. I spend the rest of the time trying to heal myself (heal for 200 get hit for 1200, heal for 300 get hit for 1200...hmmm I wonder what comes next? incapped, die). So seriously tell me how to play this game now if I can't group and I can't solo. Become a crafter or entertainer? ...

Star Wars Republic Commando

4 stars (Lots of fun, where's part 2?) - This is an immensely satisfying journey through the life of a Clone Commando, the elite units in the Clone Wars. Featuring fantastic squad-level action, the game shows you parts of Star Wars that you've been wanting to see for years. Your three squadmates are realized expertly, with convincing AI and squad tactics, as well as engaging animation and voice work. However, be aware that this game is reasonably short, rather easy, and ends with a Halo 2 style "Part I" cliffhanger that leaves you wondering when the next one came out, and why they didn't just print "Part I" right there on the box. 5 stars (STAR WARS REPUBLIC COMMANDO) - This game was really fun. I think that it's the best game that they have come out with for Star Wars. It has really good graphics and phrases. Please be aware that you have to have a video card that supports vertex shading, if not, the game won't run. Overall, this game was the BOMB!!! 5 stars (Much better than the movie, Excellent Single Player) - This game produced the most enjoyable experience since Half Life 2. I generally play first-person-shooter once or twice, then never play again; not this game. I only bought it becase it seemed similar to "Brothers in Arms" with its squad-leader element. I was not expecting much as I normally enjoy WWII-style games (I also loathed the latest three Star Wars films) but was very suprised how good it really was. From the beginning, I could sense the high production values. The story line, dialogue, and voice acting were excellent, especially for a video game. I felt I got to know my squadmates in Republic Commando much better than in Brothers in Arms. There were lots of little touches and polish that made it enjoyable to play through many times. Music, top-notch. I don't know if the music is from the films, but it shares the same epic quality. Graphics and effects were well done and ran very well with no stutters, crashes, or lag, even on the hig...

Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga Jewel Case

5 stars (For every Star Wars Geek) - If you love the Age of the Empire series and you are a Star Wars fan you will love this game. It works exactly like Age of the Empire, it just has different names, i.e. carbon instead of lumber, nova instead of gold. The greatest difference is being able to do an air attack. It is great to finally get to use tie fighters or x-wings to fight. I really loved being able to send a hoard of AT-AT's to trample the enemy. Loads of fun and with the Clone Expansion there are lots of campains to fight. A must for any Star Wars Geek. 4 stars (Star Wars + Age of Empires = A Damn good time) - While not new or groundbreaking, this game is a lot of fun. Especially if you're like me and are a diehard Star Wars fan and you've enjoyed playing Age of Empires. The graphics were pretty good for it's time and the sound is the usual incredible Star Wars experience, gone are the days of X-Wing's terrible voice acting. Each of the sides are similar, but have some of their own unique units. At a time when Star Wars games were don the decline in quality this was a breath of fresh air. It also will run pretty well on a low end machine, in todays times that's hard to come by. It's definitly worth the $9.99 price of admission. 4 stars (i love it) - my dad ordered the star wars galactic battlegrounds and i had it in two days. we checked ebay but amazon.com had the best price ...

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

5 stars (great GAME!) - THIS GAME IS VERY GOOD BUT ONCE YOU PLAY IT THE 100 TIME IT GETS KINDA BORING.I PLAY THIS GAME ON 2 COMPUTERS.MY LAPTOP WICH DOSENT MEET REQUIMENTS BUT STILL WORKS.IT SEEMS TO RUN ALMOST EVERY THING I PUT ON IT EVEN RUNS DOS.ITS BRAND NEW MADE IN 2005!but my destop greatly surpasses the requiments.its 5 years old it runs everything eceapt the older games 1990s under but thats normal. We just got a new G card in our computer because the last one got fried it has the same power but more memory.Overall play this on a fast computer it dosent work good on slow computers. 5 stars (Wow! What a game.) - I picked this game up from all the praise that it recieved from a couple of years ago. In my opinion it is one of the best role playing games right up there with FF VII, Chrono Trigger, and XenoGears. This game falls into the category of an action role playing game since you are able to move around in combat rather than just standing and exchanging hits. In this game you can create what character that you want to be. This was the RPG for the X-Box that you decided your own fate. Like any other RPG you pick up characters and weapons/items along your journey. Along the way you'll have questions answered that takes this game for a wild turn. In other words, this story line is one of the best for any Role playing game in quite a while. This game is so much fun that words cannot describe. My only complaint of this game was the controls. But like any other game, the more you play the more you get used to. This game is worth the purchase. It also sets up for the sequel quite nicely. 5 stars (Give it 10 stars!) - This game is the BEST game I ever played! it is a RPG game.. It has a great storyline! Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Great storyline. Super graphics. Very unique charicters. You can build your own Lightsabers, upgrade armor, weapons. Star Wars Galaxies- The Total Experience

5 stars (A Rookie's First Look At Online Gaming) - When I a little concerned when I read all of the negative comments about Star Wars Galaxies until I recognized a common theme. The people spewing the negative rants were all players who suffered in some way or other from the Combat Upgrade. This was a major sea change in SWG that was aimed at standardizing some areas of the game and eliminating inequities that granted unfair advantages to those who had been exploiting them. Based on my experience, it seemed that the anti-SWG constituency had also had their "oxen gored" by the changes. While I am sympathetic to their plight (although I have little patience with so-called "power gamers" who get caught with their hands in the cookie jar), the post-Combat Upgrade world would be the only SWG that I would ever know. In other words, the game would be what it was when I joined. It's much like the old joke about how many San Francisco 49er fans it would take to change a light bulb? One to install the bulb and three to stand around and talk about how great the old bulb used to be. Once I decided to join, it went as smoothly as I could have ever wanted. Although I had never played an MMORPG, the installation, setup and character creation were a snap. The game graphics are excellent and the theme music by John Williams is excellent. Because of the fluid nature of this type of game, the manual is, by necessity, broadly written and strategy guids are of limited usefullness. Although, there is an excellent in-game Help feature (the Holocron), the very best way to figure out things that have you stumped is to make friends. I admit to becoming very frustrated by undocumented problems until I asked an obviously experienced character for help. He responded with patience and good humor at the dumb rookie questions I threw his way and actually seemed to enjoy helping me along. We have since become good friends in the game and I can always rely on him for a helping hand ...

Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of the Sith

4 stars (Lightsaber combat as it should be!) - For those of you waiting for a GOOD lightsaber simulation, look no futher! Revenge of the Sith suceeds wonderfully. Its kind of like Obi-Wan, except a whole lot better, making the gameplay something like Return of the King. With fast combos and cool force powers, this game is a good buy. My only problem with it is that is is slightly short and lacks a decent Co-Op mode. Other than that, however, this game is great and makes a worthy companion to the movie. 5 stars (Awesome) - Great game, they mixed cut scenes from the movie for a game that flowed well, played well, and had some nice surprises. As a Star Wars fan I was thoroughly impressed. 5 stars (A True Tribute to the Movie & Star Wars in general.) - The playability of this game is amazing. The duels truly and the player control during, truly captures the essence of fighting as a Jedi in virtual reality. You can force throw objects at opponents then block their attacks, and then quickly strike. It truly gives the player the oppurtunity to be part of the movie's action. You can tell that true lovers of star wars made the game from its great playability for one, but also by giving us fants the ability to play as Obi-Wan versus Anakin in Epi. III, then as Darth Vader vs. Old Obi-Wan in the death star from Epi. IV. Great game and a definite interactive collectible for any star wars fan!!! ...

When a large game full of data is released on a CD it will be sectioned into parts like those 2 and 3 cd releases on certain games. Thats because CD handles less information. DVD can handle a much larger amount of information a.k.a DATA. The game can be easily squeezed into one DVD disc. Remember a CD is a 750 MB disc, compared to a DVD which is usually a 4.7GB Monster. Why they bother using CDs for such a big game is still a wonder. I think its all about saving nickels and dimes. CD is cheaper than DVD... DVD version does not increase the speed of the gameplay in anyway only the installation. If you got the cash this is something to consider picking up. 5 stars (The best in Star Wars gaming just got better) - Star Wars Battlefront II (2005.) The second game in the Star Wars Battlefront series. INTRODUCTION: In 2004, Star Wars Battlefront was released. Although not wildly popular at its time of release, the game gradually won many gamers over with its awesome gameplay. The deathmatch-style gaming in a galaxy far, far away ended up becoming the best-selling Star Wars game of all time! Still, while it was one of the best Star Wars games ever, it did lack in a few areas, and it left fans yearning for a sequel. One finally arrived in the Fall of 2005! Is it an improvement? Read on for my review of Star Wars Battlefront II. OVERVIEW: Star Wars Battlefront II was released in America on November 1, 2005 - the same day Episode III was released on DVD in the United States. The game features single player and multi-man action alike. There are a ton of different characters, classes, locales, and game variants. The game is available for Playstation 2, Playstation Portable, XBOX, and PC. REVIEW: I had high expectations for this game, being that the first Battlefront was one of my all-time favorite Star Wars gaming e...

PS2 Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of the Sith

3 stars (Could and should have been better) - With all the tie-in's and such for the release of the third Star Wars prequel, one would figure that maybe the folks at LucasArts would have put more time into making the video game based soley on the movie, but then again, this is LucasArts we're talking about here, and they've turned out far more misses with the Star Wars license than hits over the years. Revenge of the Sith follows the film's storyline almost exactly, while the graphics look great, and even the actors from the film provide the voices for their characters. You can play as Obi-Wan or Anakin and battle your way through the game on single player or co-op, or you can duel it out with various Star Wars characters, including ones that can be unlocked. However, the story mode of the game is really nothing more than a simple hack & slasher at heart, and fighting hordes of droids and soldiers becomes old real quick. The sound effects are nicely done, as is the score used from the film, but the voice acting is surprisingly stiff, and the one-liners are annoying and actually kind of un-Jedi like. Not to mention that the story mode is pretty short as well, and the final battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin will be there before you know it. The duel mode is nice, and it suggests that if LucasArts was serious about a Star Wars fighting game (such as a previous reviewer stated, like Soul Calibur) that they could make something really special (not like that horrible PS1 Star Wars fighting game, Knights of the Teras Kasi). All in all, Revenge of the Sith isn't a bad game at all, and it's definitely worth playing for Star Wars fanboys, but don't expect anything great from it. 5 stars (Star Wars Episode III) - The Star Wars III the game is awesome. It's so cool when you fight Dooko, Master Windew and those other guys are so fun. The graphics are good! If you're looking for a really good action game I would take this game. If you like challenging and a game you can ...
