4 stars (Some excellent points) - I don't know that I agree with everything the author has to say, but he makes some excellent points. I think the hardest part is getting the clergy to acquiese to these ideas. I don't know any off hand who could actually pull this off. The ideas however are very pertinent and if the church could do this I think we would all benefit by more men in the pews. 5 stars (A must read for all church leaders) - I must admit, when I first ordered this book I was half expecting to get some shallow criticism of evangelical churches and Christians by someone with a hostile attitude toward both. Much to my pleasure and surprise, what I got was a well written, well researched analysis of the current state of the church and its effectiveness in reaching the men in our culture for Christ. The author has really done his homework. He lays out the facts in a very clear, easy to understand manner. He is painfully honest about where todays Christian churches are in relation to this topic. If you are a fan of the status quo or a male basher, this book probably isn't for you. But if you are a minister or lay worker who want the church to fulfill the great commission in the 21st century, you must read this book and take it very seriously. 4 stars ( Why Men Hate Going to Church ) - I think he's right on target. Rachael Ray-s 30-Minute Get Real Meals - Eat Healthy Without Going to Extremes

5 stars (Love It, Love It, Love It!!!!!) - This cookbook, is in my opinion Rachel Ray's best one yet. It's creative, original and very tasty. Never boring. It suits all my cooking/diet phases from low cal to low carb and everything in between. The best part about her recipes is that they are easy to tweak if you should come across an ingredient that you don't much care for without losing the flavor of the dish. I love the stuffed tomatoes! I bought this book as a birthday gift for my sister and almost couldn't give it to her, I did, and I went back to the store the next day and bought it for myself. Some opinions are just evil and nasty. Some can't tolerate watching Rachel's show and that's okay, the show is probably geared towards viewers who don't have a stick up their ... anyway. Great book and even greater gift! My sister loved it too! 5 stars (Rachel Rays cook book) - It arrived on time & in great condition. Great product, very pleased. 1 stars (At least you don't have to listen to her) - Sounds like of a "Catty" title, but I'm sorry. Some of her recepies are good, but no real nutritional values are listed, especially for being touted healthy and fast meals. I'm sure Ms. Ray has a devoted following, but after trying to watch her shows on Food Network, I find it better to read a recepie, than trying to listen to her. With her gravelly-rough cigarette voice, I find it hard to concentrate on her talking. On television she comes accross as White Trash, Redneck cooking. Does she have any cooking school behind her, or is her entire repetoire' just throw this together and your friends will find it "cool". Anyhow if you like Mizz Ray you will probably like this book, and spare your ears at the same time. Me I actually prefer, Giada De Laurentiis, and Sandra Lee. Both these ladies are classy, award winning chefs, and have actual nutritional value to their recepies. ...

4 stars (Too Much Freedom and Not Enough) - Adolescent girls probably since the dawn of time have been trying to elude the domineering gaze of their mothers in a time during their development where young females are creating their own identity and discovering who they really are and how they want to portray themselves to others. It's a juncture at which they are even more prone to seek independence and the discoveries of independence--a period when the teenage girl is (or is at least trying to) mature into womanhood. sometimes too quickly. Renowned feminist author Joyce Carol Oates very expertly tackles this issue in her 1965 short story "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?" We're confronted with a young girl named Connie who just wants her own space, a girl who's tired of being told that she just doesn't measure up to her mother's high standard like her sister Jill; a girl who wants some romance--some love (or lust) in her life; an innocent naive girl who wants the freedom to meet and know boys but who is too young to understand that there are "good boys" and then there are "bad boys." Connie goes out at night with her friend and meets a guy. They seem to have a good time together, but it's just one of those things where you have a good time and you wake up the next morning having forgotten much of what happened the night before. Life just goes on. At least that's the case with Connie. But she soon learns that that's not quite the case with the boy she met, named Arnold Friend. When her parents leave for a barbecue, she's left home all alone. She couldn't be happier. 4 stars (Next best thing to a crystal ball) - Harry Dent has a good track record in calling the larger movements and turn-arounds in the stock market and other investments. He uses both fundamentals (e.g. demographics) as well as technical (i.e. charts) to predict what will happen in the stock market, housing prices, oil prices, etc. No one can predict the future prefectly but Dent appears to have a better crystal ball than almost anyone else. I know for sure it's better than mine. I will be making some changes in my investment strategies based on this, but I will also keep an eye out for if things aren't materializing the way he projects. The main negative I have with this booklet is it is very repetitious. 5 stars (Fascinating) - More than ever, a degree in economics is required in order to make sense of the macroeconomic forces shaping our world. 2 stars (Nothing is roaring, DJI has been flat since 2001) - Dow Jones is still going through its major corrections after the roaring 80s and then the 90s. We are experiencing the same cylical phase that happened in the 70s - when war, energy crises, international market expansions, and demographic changes were gradually driving the economy to a malaise. The main difference is that the country was in little debt 30 years ago. We are now owing other countries trillions of dollars, and the trade deficit will continue to soar. The economy may sink as a result, but it has nothing to do with bubble bursting. That was already done in the stock market years ago. Should the economy finally collapse, it will have to do with our structural economic problems. Most probably prefer a soft-landing rather than a hard collapse. It will take some sacrifice and some political leadership to achieve a peaceful and endurable transition. It will be about our committment to paying down the debt, ending our oil dependence, and educating the workforce to take on the jobs of the new century that are not to be "outsourced" to other places. The price of the bundle is exactly the same as the sum of the individual items' prices, and thus no "FREE" item is included (as advertised). 1 stars (Two faulty PS2 consoles) - I purchased the new "slim" PS2 console as a birthday gift for my sons. The first unit quit reading discs after 2 days. We received a replacement unit and it stopped reading discs after 1 day. Going Faster- Mastering the Art of Race Driving

5 stars (an exceptional book. a must read for any serious driver.) - This book is amongst the best I have ever read in terms of driving. It covers a tremendous amount of detail. This is a most read, is it not only from one of the top racing schools in the country, is allot cheaper. The information in this book is like having ten other books put together. Although this book covers almost everything it is not the only one to read. 5 stars (Perhaps the Most Complete Racing Instruction Book) - I think I must have bought almost every book there is on racing instruction over the years, and this book definitely ranks in the top three. It is incredibly complete and easy to understand. It also was good to read before the Skip Barber courses in order to get an advantage over the other drivers, and I still refer to it on a regular basis in Renault, etc. A MUST buy for anyone serious about competition! Peter Olson 4 stars (The Best Manual of a Beginning Competition Driver) - I couldn't "swallow" this book at once, it took me three sessions during a couple of months to figure out that amongst the good books on motor sports this one serves the role of a guidebook, of a manual of a beginning competition driver, best of all. What do I mean by "good books"? Competition Driving by Alain Prost, The Technique of Motor Racing by Piero Taruffi, Driving in Competition by Alan Johnson, Sports Car and Competition Driving by Paul Frere, to name a few. All of them are wise and not overcomplicated, and have no buzz about the success stories of champions, the buzz which is useless for the reader interested in driving techniques. I've found out that the definition of oversteer and understeer here is the most complete and most correct amongst the books that I've listed, yet without the formulas that may frighten somebody. Going Long- Training for Ironman-Distance Triathlons The Ultrafit Multisport Training Series

3 stars (A little confused) - First of all let me say that this is about the best ironman training book out there. However, there are several severe flaws. First, the authors are confused about their audience. It is never clear when they are talking to novices and when they are addressing elites. They float around willy-nilly first addressing one then the other. Warnings are given to beginners right in the middle of long spiels obviously addressed only to pros. I believe this book is probably meant for novice to intermmediate triatheletes. But the authors are inconsistent in their approach to this. Second, most of the equipment information is very shallow but nevertheless useful to novices. However, once again the intended audience is unclear. Thirdly, the training bricks, many workout, and much of the advice are clearly geared to triatheletes who are very advanced. Any first-timer is going to overtrain and many advanced atheletes will as well if they utilize some of these workouts. They authors recommend no more than two breakthough workouts per week!! Is anybody else reading this? So once again the audience is unclear. If the authors are going to address novices then they need to do so in a consistent way throughout the book. The same with elites and intermmediates etc. Despite these flaws I managed to extract a great deal of useful information from this book and will continue to use it. 5 stars (best triathlon book) - This is the best book on triathlon that I have read. I am training for an ironman and I refer to the book almost every day.
