5 stars (Excellent condition) - We ordered two South Beach diet books and they were both in excellent shape. The order came within a few days. We have always been very satisfied with books we've ordered from Amazon.com, whether new or used. PS--my husband lost 13 pounds on South Beach in the first two weeks! 4 stars (To lose weight, just head South.) - This is a diet book whose plan is to get you to lose weight by limiting your carbohydrates- essentially another low-carbohydrate diet. It has 3 phases where your carbohydrates are severely restricted at first, and then re-introduced. These kinds of diets will definitely help you lose weight in the short run, but in the long run, they fare just as well as any regular calorie restricted diet. An easy read, I give it 4 stars. 4 stars (Makes Organization seem possible for even the messiest people!) - Excellent book with great tips, tricks, and encouragement for getting your life organized to be functional and to suit your needs. This book is lively and interesting as it tackles organizational problems, offering anecdotes and sympathy that ease the process. This book makes organization seem possible for even the messiest people! 5 stars (Great book) - Great guideline for someone who has never been organized or wouldn't know where to begin. Covers many areas (household, home office, office). Even suggests some tools. I loved it and reccommend it to everyone I know! 3 stars (worth buying) - the first few chapters get to the heart of the problem and solve what the emotional barriers are for us not staying organized. those chapters were great! i also like the way she addresses the actual act of organizing. she encourages you to organize with your natural instinct/personality and that there isn't one set system for everyone. she also gives excellent tips on various ways to organize items. but again w/an emphasis on only using those techniques if they actually work for you. her time lines for how long it will take total to organize an area are realistic. however, her idea is to spend several hours all at one time to get a room organized. we have all done that before. it doesn't work. if it did we wouldn't be considering buying yet another organization book. she also almost encourages people to keep their clutter. there are good lists of what she calls "no brainer" things to toss out. but they are just that- "no brainers." a good accompanying book to get would be "sink reflections" by marla cilley. while morgenstern encourages us to waste an entire weekend and most of our free evenings just to get one room organized and she helps you save things you know you won't use but just can't get rid of. cilley encourages us to spend just 15 min to one hour and certainly not your valuable family time ...

1 stars (Whites Who Think They Know Blacks) - I always have to thank white people for helping us niggers on how to read and interpret Black history. Zirin's book is full of such nonsense. The Jackie Robinson drama is a case in point. The FACT is that a man whose professional function is to hit a cow-covered ball of yarn & rubber with a polished twig ought not be representing the Black race in ANY forum--THAT is the OUTRAGE! Zirin loves Jackie Robinson, but whilst gov't whites imposed apartheid on ALL Blacks in America, Robinson chose to promote the white side against a Black man, Paul Robeson, who openly condemned ALL racism within the American SYSTEM. Robinson was used and abused by his handlers, and to choose white supremacy. And Zirin says nothing of Robinson's role in the demise of the Negro Leagues. Whites, like Zirin, who like to apologize for Blacks who "play ball" with racism just call them "complicated"--apparently too "complicated" for us field niggers to understand. Zirin's assessment of what will solve Black people's problems is irrelevant. Some oblique reference to "multiracial unity" is so facile and glib it is comical. He is as out of place making these comments as Robinson was in front of the HUAC. "Ownership" of sports for whites seems to work for them just fine, thank you. Mr. Zirin's book contains not a single condemnation of the current racist ownership regime. In fact, I'll buy the book that names the names of the racists in the sports world and deciphers their many schemes and acts of white treachery--but it is not forthcoming from Zirin or anyone else who benefits from the status quo. Economic monopoly of Black talent works for them--and it will work even better for us! In any event we'll tell you AFTER we try it, OK Mr. Zirin? We''ll let you know. 2 stars (What gives books by journalists a bad name.) - As one who reads and writes sport, and is a political progressive, I was looking forward to a book that took on the sports establishment. ...
