5 stars (info galore) - This book is a kick-start. It gives you a great desire to get started and a belief that you can do this. Reading it once will not be enough if you want to truly learn all that is offered in this book. 5 stars (One of the best books of the year!) - "How to Buy, Sell and Profit" is, in my opinion, one of the best business books of 2005. This book has insight, education, humor and is easy to read. The information is logically outlined and contains value to both the beginner and advanced eBay seller. Essentially the book is written in story format and not like a textbook, which is what makes it so easy to follow and understand. eBay is a great opportunity for people to make a lot of money, or just get rid of some stuff in their house. In "How to Buy, Sell & Profit on eBay" I learned how best use eBay to apply to my situation. I highly recommend this book. It's the best book I've ever read on the subject of eBay - and one of the best business books I've read this year! 5 stars (Don't miss out on your chance to finally start your eBay business. 4 stars (Tuesday's with Morrie) - A short story that makes you reflect on your life and whether or not you are achieving the dreams you set out for yourself. I recommend it. 5 stars (All About the LITTLE Things) - Yeah there is no way to describe the book. To capture the essence of it, the story behind it or what you come away with. Other then it reminds you of the basics of life and all that jazz in a non-boring-lecture-the-teacher-is-a-moron-kinda-way... ::sigh:: Read the book and then share the love and the knowledge! Buy it, pass it on. Whether you say it changes your life, or not, it does not matter. For though I believe it hasn't changed mine, it express what I have felt is the forever the fundamentals of life, and what needs to be remembered and enjoyed. (Combining my accounts, I originally wrote this May 20, 2002) 5 stars (To all the "Dick Wagner" and "Jon W " reviewers out there ...) - I feel sorry for you cold and disconnected individuals. If this book did not touch your soul, or move you to tears, I would be concerned about your ability (or inability rather) to empathize. He is simply a wise, gentle, and enlightened man who shares what he learned throughout his lifes journey. 48 Days To The Work You Love

2 stars (Not worth it) - I listen to Dave Ramsey every day and read his books, I really think he's on the ball with his advice and helping people a lot. I can also understand why he advertises and endorses Dan Miller; Miller's heart is clearly in the right place and Im sure he's amazing as a one-on-one job counseler. But this book isn't anything special. I just got off the job hunt and I have to say that much of this advice can be found for free, on the internet, and is part of the whole college experience (which is about finding what you like to do and studying it in further detail). The book mainly says, "look and find out what you really want to do", "go find companies that do it", "let your enthusiasm show" and "negotiate shrewdly". Yes, this is all good advice, but its mostly common sense - you dont need to spend $20 to learn this advice. So, you know, maybe Im too young and optimistic, but I really dont see the point or need for a book like this. Dave Ramsey, yes absolutely - everyone should listen to him. But Miller and his book - no, unless you go directly to him for job counseling. This book is much too general and non-commital to be of much use. 5 stars (48 Days to the Work You Love) - This book provides many practical and very helpful approaches to finding a good job. I had just lost a job that I loved for 28 years and needed a refresher to help me find another job to love. I found the book very helpful. 1 stars (Worth neither the time nor money) - This book essentially turned out to be a hardcover advertisement to buy more of the author's material in order to "really discover the work you love." It eluded to proving helpful for a moment with discovering more about ones potential vocation, but then gave YET ANOTHER reference to his website where you could purchase the information for another $37.50. The minor amount of basic material is the same as can be found on most any career counseling website, but with constant advertisements for the author's o...

Glorious Appearing- The End of Days Left Behind -12

5 stars (A Satisfying Ending or A New Beginning?) - I found this to be a great final chapter in this amazing series which has kept me spellbound for much of the past year as I read all 12 books. However, it is also clear that there's more to come, that this is by no means an ending but the commencement of a new series - one which I also look forward to with great eagerness. The characters, the storylines, the suspense, the cliffhanger endings all have been and I'm sure will continue to be memorable and mesmerizing! 5 stars (The Left Behind series gets better with each one) - I had an experience when I was young that made it difficult for me to read the book of Revelations. A Bible Study leader depicted the last coming as hopeless to all humans, and made God seem so vengeful that I turned away. I quit bible study and I quit reading the bible. It was not until I read the first Left Behind book that I realized that interpretation of Revelations can be fearful but not without hope. I read each book as it came out and slowly returned to reading the bible. This is scary stuff told as a fictional story, but it gives us all a reason to read and learn and to love and trust God. This book, Glorious Appearing: The End of Days continues to inspire and entertain at the same time. 1 stars (Glorious Appearing less than glorious) - Adequately describing the return of Christ in words would be next to impossible, but even given that disclaimer, this was one of the worst books I have ever read ... er, skimmed. The first few books in this series were captivating, but as the series dragged on, they became less and less interesting. The repetition in this book is almost nauseating (as one might expect when the events of 24 hours are described over 400 pages!). On the plus side, it only took a few hours to get through it ... ...

5 stars (I LOVED this book!) - This is a complete, thorough, step-by-step, awesome resource! I loved it!!! It gets straight to the point, and explains things clearly with very understandable examples. It's well worth the money and then some! I especially liked the tips on Day 6 - it was exactly what I was looking for. 5 stars (A "MUST HAVE" guide for making money online!) - The biggest problem most people face when looking to make money online is the Herculean task of separating fact from fiction. Yanik Silver and Jim Edwards solve that problem by providing a step by step (33 steps to be exact), paint by the numbers, recipe book for creating an online business that generates real cash. What impressed me the most is that the authors have actually made money on line (lots of it!...unlike so many other resouces you'll see) and share the exact steps they use for their own businesses. I keep my copy nearby at all times and have recommended it to countless people because it just plain works! Handknit Holidays - Knitting Year-Round for Christmas- Hanukkah- and Winter Solstice

5 stars (A Must-Have) - This book is definitely a winner. It is one of the few knitting books that I have looked at and said, "I want to knit everything in there!". There are Christmas ornaments, garlands and treeskirt and stocking sets. Also, several styles of table runners and a clever lace tablecloth by Annie Modesitt that uses panels of linen in between lovely lace strips. One item I think I'll be making this year is a delicate lace "frame" to use as a mat for a photograph (within a wooden frame). The garments are wonderful and most (except a little tank) are in a variety of sizes, from small to plus sized. ALL yarns in this book are of the best quality; no craft store yarns here :^) This means some of the projects can be very expensive, but I like to see projects knit with luxurious yarns because I know I can always substitute if I need to. I know shrugs have been done to death lately, but there is a new and interesting shrug idea in here from Norah Gaughn that is lovely. Highly recommended for all your gift knitting, and holiday decorating needs. The book is slanted more toward Christmas and Winter Solstice celebrations, with only one specific Chanukah project (a lovely cable pillow in which the cables form a mennorah).
