On Combat

5 stars (Mr. Grossman has done it again!!!!!!!!!!) - Out of all the training manuals and books that we have to read as Marines, this book has more facts and "what to expect" in a combat environment than any of them I have read. Just this past Feb/March, I returned home from Fallujah, Iraq where I was with RCT-1. We killed 2500 terrorists and lost 115 Marines in the 7 months I was there. Knowing everything I learned from that experience, I could not give even half the information he has provided in this book. I have read all of Mr. Grossman's book and watched all of his tapes, I CANNOT say enough great things about them. They are packed with information and knowledge that ALL law enforcement, military, security personnel, and parents should read!!! Great Book!!!!! 5 stars (Warrior psychology) - As a military man who has seen combat and as a former police officer facing stress on the streets due to life and death situations, there is much we can do to mentally prepare ourselves. This book brings to light experiences in "combat-type stress" which can aide in understanding and give assistance to handle the fear/guilt/stress of having to deal with killing/survival actions. I recommend this book for any and all military personnel; And this book should be manditory reading in all police academies. This book points out the need for more study in this field. 5 stars (Live saver) - without this book, many Soldiers inculding myself would not recover from our experiences, Read it, really read it and it will explain things you otherwise would not understand, Thanks! ...

1 stars (Nice Book if You Can Get It) - Why did Amazon even bother putting this book on their site? I have waited 4 MONTHS for it. There seems to be no place in the world where this book can be obtained. Granted the author and publisher are partially to blame for putting this book in such small distribution, but why would Amazon bother to say it can be ordered through them? I hope anyone considering this book realizes it's just not worth the wait. 5 stars (This book is a bargain) - If you are a person who desires to eat cleaner and healthier and have no clue where to begin then this is the book for you. It is not a gourmet "heart attack on a plate" or " Quick n easy unhealthy food" cookbook. The recipes are easy to follow and not overly complicated, yet will taste good and be way better than just edible like some other diet foods are. Yummy and nourishing are two words coming to mind right now. Look at the cover and I can tell you the food tastes as good as it looks. Just be sure you really are serious about the Lean, Strong body because that`s what you will get if you use the recipes in this book! 5 stars (Great Book with simple to prepare recipes) - I bought Stellas Kitchen a few months ago and I really like the book. The recipes are easy to follow and well explained for people, like me, who are not experienced chefs. I personally think the simplicity of the recipes is an asset to the book. This is a great resource for those involved in the Iron game. It give many great suggestions for preparing tasty, high-protein meals simply and conveniently. Even my wife who is not especially health conscious likes the recipes in this cook book. I have found the recipes for preparing meats, poultry, and fish to be especially good. I also like the fact that the cook book explains what makes these recipes healthier than the average recipe. 1 stars (Whites Who Think They Know Blacks) - I always have to thank white people for helping us niggers on how to read and interpret Black history. Zirin's book is full of such nonsense. The Jackie Robinson drama is a case in point. The FACT is that a man whose professional function is to hit a cow-covered ball of yarn & rubber with a polished twig ought not be representing the Black race in ANY forum--THAT is the OUTRAGE! Zirin loves Jackie Robinson, but whilst gov't whites imposed apartheid on ALL Blacks in America, Robinson chose to promote the white side against a Black man, Paul Robeson, who openly condemned ALL racism within the American SYSTEM. Robinson was used and abused by his handlers, and to choose white supremacy. And Zirin says nothing of Robinson's role in the demise of the Negro Leagues. Whites, like Zirin, who like to apologize for Blacks who "play ball" with racism just call them "complicated"--apparently too "complicated" for us field niggers to understand. Zirin's assessment of what will solve Black people's problems is irrelevant. Some oblique reference to "multiracial unity" is so facile and glib it is comical. He is as out of place making these comments as Robinson was in front of the HUAC. "Ownership" of sports for whites seems to work for them just fine, thank you. Mr. Zirin's book contains not a single condemnation of the current racist ownership regime. In fact, I'll buy the book that names the names of the racists in the sports world and deciphers their many schemes and acts of white treachery--but it is not forthcoming from Zirin or anyone else who benefits from the status quo. Economic monopoly of Black talent works for them--and it will work even better for us! In any event we'll tell you AFTER we try it, OK Mr. Zirin? Dave Pelz-s Putting Bible

5 stars (Information overload) - How much to you think you know about putting? Read greens, roll the ball at the hole, etc.. Guess what? You probably don't know the half of it. Pelz is a scientist. While his book is written to be easy to read, he does not hold back. All his data and ideas are here. He discusses everything from the miriad variety of putting strokes, to the 15 facets of the putting game he has derived. To be clear, this book is pretty heavy reading. However, his focus is not on convincing the reader of this "super technique", nor does he fill pages up with tips. He goes through and presents his data, makes conclusions regarding it, and recommends certain methods. While he doesn't force any one method on the reader, he goes to great lengths to convince you. Maybe you like your door-hinge putting arc. Fine. But why is that not as good as a pendulum-type motion (which he recommends)? He explains, not from conjecture or "years of teaching experience", but with simple scientific data and common sense. Unless you have read his other books, you most likely haven't encountered a book of golf instruction like this. It may not settle well with many readers, but if you give it a chance it will help you out. Keep in mind too that the goal he sets is not to give your stroke a quick fix with a tip. He is out to give you a stroke you will be able to use anytime, anywhere, from the time you master it until you hang your putter up for the last time. That means that there is no quick route: you need to practice. He is blunt enough to even come out and say that to groove a putting stroke requires around 20,000 repetitions. A hard truth to face, but I'd rather work towards that and develop a good permanent stroke rather than creating a patchwork stroke that breaks down every week. 5 stars (the best book you can buy to improve your putting) - an easy to read book. it explains to the core the "art" of putting.
