Tapping the Healer Within - Using Thought-Field Therapy to Instantly Conquer Your Fears- Anxieties-

5 stars (Tapping the Healer Within) - Excellent and easy to use. A must for people who feel that the body has the power to heal itself from inside and are tied of the medical professions inadequacies. 5 stars (A therapy that works) - I am a Medical Doctor of Ecuador and I`ve been using the method for a few months and it really works in the percentages that Dr Callahan mentions in his book. It is a self help book, I think that the reason why some of the people who mention that the method didn't work on them was that in some cases the help of a professional trained in the method is required. Most of the time you can practice in your own home, but other times you really need help, the acupressure points need to be tapped in the rigth spot, if you tapp a little far away you are not producing the effect that you need. So give a try, if it is not effective look for someone trained in the method. Fernando Camacho MD 5 stars (Caution....must have an OPEN MIND to use properly) - I find it terribly sad that so many have ego problems with using and understanding these techniques. They are simple, profound, and effective IF USED PROPERLY. Roger Callahan is the "godfather" of EFT, and Energy Medicine in general. Here he shares his exciting discoveries as a practical guide for self-help of a multitude of issues confronting the average human. One of the primary steps to using this effectively for yourself is to keep your mind steadily focused on the issue you are attempting to heal. Since most of us have trouble with this type of "one pointed" focus (our minds can bounce around at lightening speed!), we may have trouble getting results, and consider this a failure. It isn't! As a suggestion to the person with the blushing problem...a focus on the "feeling" that comes before the actual blushing would most likely work. However, it sounds like this person has a lot of trouble with embarassment in general....and may need to work on a multitude of aspects before getting relief. I find...

Command and Conquer Generals- Zero Hour Expansion Pack

5 stars (pretty darn good) - This is a good expansion pack... the Challenge mode is very cool... you pick the personality of your general, then you pick the personality of the general you want to fight against. When then game begins, you can hear the general from the other team laughing at your mistakes, and he's usually right. Very interesting and fun to play. Don't play this game on a night before you have to go to work, because you will probably lose track of time by having such a blast. But there is a downside... The user interface is still the same old interface that takes up too much space on the screen. And perhaps most annoying: Any time you get a mission report, you have to wait and wait and wait to see the pop-up descriptions when you are trying to chose which unit(s) you want to build. And speaking of waiting... if you want to restart a mission, you have to sit through the introduction video, and you can't skip past it. Hopefully the next version of C&C will fix these oversights. 4 stars (Wonderful endeed but...) - Anyone who bought and enjoyed the original CandC: Generals won't go far wrong doing the same again with this expansion. Your money buys you another 15 single player missions all complete with new units, a `challenge' scenario where you can choose a general that suits your style of play and put him up against 8 others as well as the usual skirmish and multiplay modes. The graphics and sound are excellent, as could be expected from a developer of this pedigree, with the cut scenes giving a truly professional feel to the whole experience. Explosions and animation are superb, I particularly like the way bodies fly through the air as a bunker is blown up, and the screams of anguish as troopers die a painful chemical death never fails to bring a smile (I know, I'm a sick git). Gameplay is fluid, albeit a little slow in places, while it should also be noted that he who rules the skies, wins (99 times out of 100 anyway). The GLA missions a...

Command - Conquer- Generals

1 stars (I'm going back to RA2) - I was waiting a while for this game's price to go down, playing Red Alert 2 in order to get pumped for Generals. I thoroughly enjoyed RA2 and Yuri's Revenge, because the story was excellent and the graphics made it possible to at least tell what unit you were looking at without clicking on it. Maybe I was just expecting too much when I put Generals in my CD tray. Now I don't have a high-end PC by any means, but Generals should have run fine on my PC, and it did. The reason this game is so slow is not because I don't meet the requirements, it is because the units were programmed by the developers to move slowly in order to create that "realistic" effect. Anyone who has played RA2 will know what I'm talking about. Remember how you could go into the options menu to change the game speed (slow, fast, faster, fastest)? Well, with Generals, its is like the game is stuck on slow all the time, and it's not because you don't meet the requirements. If you can get past the slow pacing of the game, wait until it is in the bargain bin to buy it, because it will set you back a pretty penny with not much reward if you don't. 5 stars (Yuri has his own game) - Yuri is the bad guy in this game. I do wish you can use his army to win the whole but you can only pick the American or the Soviet Union. The only way you can shoose to be Yuri's army is playing the skirmish game, those are just parctices. Their's no two seperate disc. I wish the story line in this game was a bit longer just like the (Red Alert 2) game. The Russions have a new sidekick name Boris, he can call an air strike by point a red lazer at a target when it turns red the air craft comes and hit's it plus he is a fast shooter with his machine gun. I really love fighting in Egypt if you distroy the pyramids a walking mummy comes out. In Hollywood celebrities will help you fight the enemy. The part I thought was most cool is this giant machine that Yuri uses to mind control people once it d...

Command and Conquer Generals- Deluxe Edition

5 stars (One of the greatest command games ever!!!) - Command and Conquer Generals Deluxe Edition is the best game i have ever played before. You have to get (required) the general edition to play the zero hour edition. Which this extrodanary game has. My advice is to get it while you can. So have a blast!!! ;) 5 stars (Great Strategy) - I like to switch every few months between Sci-Fi, and RL. Between SF 1st person games to birds-eye viewing an army invading an enemy base. I have to say that the Generals series has fulfilled gaming needs ;) The various generals allow you to become great in specific fields such as infantry, tanks, air force, nuclear power, and much more. I won't go into too many details so you can try it for yourself but I will say that, while I miss the old C&C games (they don't play on XP :..(), Generals and Zero Hour have the most impressive graphics and some of the most detailed game play you will see. The explosions are real, the sound is undeniably great. US Rangers fast roping from a Chinook, Stealth Fighters bombing specific enemy targets, Chinese armored divisions crossing key bridges, and GLA demolition trucks lurking in 'abandoned' cities, awaiting to kamikazie on an enemy convoy. All in all, it has everything a strategic gamer likes. Buy the Deluxe edition because I, for one, enjoy playing both campaings. It's also fun once in a while to go back to Generals instead of Zero Hour to see what it was like to win the battlefield without Chinese Helix choppers flying cover. Though it has high system requirements, it is well worth it. If you buy it and it's laggy then it's a problem with your computer's specifications and not with the game. Oh, forgot one Con. The online multiplayer gets pretty laggy. I mean I played with a friend online (2v2comps) and it was getting pretty laggy, though maybe it's just my computer (even though it's brand new). 3 stars (HA! Not as good as the old one) - This game would be far better if the resourc...

Command and Conquer Generals Mac

5 stars (Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour) - Very Well done Much better then the first installment. 4 stars (Not your daddy's Red Alert) - Pretty much an entirely new story line and a different universe in this one, so if you're looking for GDI vs NOD action it isn't here. That being said, this is the best looking RTS I've seen, and the gameplay is good and the resource gathering mechanisms are rather simple (i.e. you don't need 9 different elements to build a tank). One thing to note is that if you're like me and want to beat up on the computer in skirmish mode (custom game configuration where you can take on between 1 and 7 computer controlled opponents) it will slow down if you crank up the number of opponents and the skill level at which they play (I'm on 2x2.3Ghz G5, Radeon X800, 2.5G RAM). The one good thing that can be said about this is that while it does slow down in the heat of battle things keep moving fairly smoothly whereas with my PC version the game begins to stutter and get very frustrating. 4 stars (C&C lives on!) - Command and Conquer: Generals is a great game and I'm glad to say the game lives up to the C&C name. Fans of the series will enjoy the simular gameplay but you don't have to be a fan to enjoy Generals. For those of you who are worried it might not be the same since Westwoods name isn't on the box (developer of past C&C games) worry not since Westwood is a part of Electronic Arts. The interface is slightly different but works out nicely. Instead of having every building option available to you at once, the options for each building become available when you click on them. Another nice change to Generals is the 3D environment. Being able to rotate the camera and zoom in and out is a nice feature to have, especially if your units go behind buildings and you hate the colored shadows that show up to let you know where they are. There are a few things that I miss from the previous C&C games. There arn't any naval units so if yo...

Fearless Golf - Conquering the Mental Game

5 stars (Great book on mental game of golf ) - The mental game of book of golf is worth checking out. 5 stars (Fearless Indeed) - This book teaches you to block out all distractions. It details how to focus on the golf course and your target. You hear from many of the pro golfers from today and in the past, explaining their thought process. If you take this book seriously, it will definitely improve your mental approach to the game. 4 stars (Forget about what others think. ) - Dr. Valeante's focus on fear and mastery is unique among the mental game gurus. I've always been intrigued by how the fear of a three foot putt can paralyze a perfectly healthy man. (I've been there.) As Dr. Valiante points out, a lot of it has to do with ego. When you're preoccupied with what other people think, you can't perform up to your potential. But it's hard to escape ego-oriented thinking. The achievement orientation that's so pervasive in our society feeds into it. For better or worse, we're taught to judge people, and we subconsciously know that we're being judged. But this book will help you reframe your thinking and minimize the effects of ego on your golf game. It will help you forget about the bad shots, and focus on the positive process of improvement. There are so many books on the mental side of golf, it's getting to the point of oversaturation. They all offer good insight and helpful information, but some are more applicable than others. This one falls right about in the middle. Dr. Valiante offers plenty of antidotes from tour players to illustrate his ideas, and he makes a very important point... that every round of golf should be approached as a learning experience. ...
