5 stars (The Best Nursing Book You Can Buy) - I discovered this book two months into breastfeeding, and wished I had found it sooner. Everything you possibly need to know about nursing is under one cover. Unlike most other breastfeeding books that only discuss nursing a newborn, this book contains information on nursing newborns through toddlers. Highly recommend this book for all nursing mothers. 5 stars (Excellent nursing book!) - I bought this book as I am expecting my second baby and had problems nursing the first. I went through at least half a dozen lactation consultants with my first before I got the info I needed to make breastfeeding successful, and this was after the first two weeks and after my baby was hospitalized due to dehydration. I wish I had this book then, as it covers everything I needed to know about poor latch/insufficient milk supply. I am learning so much as I read the book and feel so much more confident as I approach the birth of my second. This book covers every issue I think you could come across with breastfeeding. 5 stars (Lots of good info) - Great book. Actually answered some questions (one in particular) for which I'd been unable to find answers elsewhere. Including at the Medela booth at a professional conference. Highly recommended, nonpartial, good book. ...

Bringing Words to Life- Robust Vocabulary Instruction

5 stars (Lifesaver) - This book came during my summer vacation when my motivation to read was quite low........I read it in one sitting and got so many ideas for my work with language impaired elementary school students. It is timely and appropriate for all age levels. Many educators are looking for research based best practices and this is a great reference! 5 stars (Bringing Words to Life in the classroom!) - Being a teacher, I found "Bringing Words To Life" very helpful. I've gotten so many good ideas to bring to the classroom. Today, we have so many children who sit in front of the television or are focused on video games that they don't have enough real life experience to relate to vocabulary. Having necessary vocabulary skills is very important in reading comprehension. If a child doesn't understand what they're reading then they won't be able to comprehend the story. Reading the story has given my not only ideas to enhance vocabulary but it's given me the inspiration to be creative. I would suggest any teacher read this book to become inspired! 4 stars (Bringing Words to Life) - Bringing Words to Life: Robust Vocabulary Instruction is a good book to use for resource of ways to teach vocabulary. I found Chapter 4: Developing Vocabulary in the Earliest Grades to be the most helpful for finding ideas on how to teach vocabulary to my reading groups. All though, at times I did think some of the chapters were quite lengthy and even sometimes hard to understand. I will be using this book for ideas in the future. ...

5 stars (Easy Read) - This was very easy to read and extremely informative book. Couldn't put it down until I finished it. 5 stars (John Lyons IS the best horse in the paddock!) - As a professional horse trainer who lives her craft, I give John Lyons a TON of credit for making me the horsewoman I am today. John is known as America's Most Trusted Horseman and I'll take it a step further and call him the guy who writes THE how-to books on training. John's not a bells and whistles kind of guy, just one heck of a great trainer. If you purchase only one book on horse training, I suggest this reasonably priced book that beautiflly illustrates how John builds a foundation of trust and respect. If you are able to apply the basic principles illustrated, you will be able to improve any horse, regardless of age or experience - and I mean that for both you and your horse. The book features 20 progressive ground-work lessons to develop your horse into a reliable, accepting partner. I Give It 4 Hooves Up! 4 stars (Good Book) - I have this book and have used some of the things in it. It's not really what I need for my horse. She's two, really hyper, green and distracted. The instruction in the book is great. I just needed more of a detailed...do this, this might happen, fix it like this...book. I'm new at this. She's the first horse I've tried to train. I've been around horses for most of my life but training is alot different I'm learning. I have a new baby horse on the way though and I know this will be an invaluable resource for training her(or him). Along with Dr. Miller's Imprint Training. I would recommend this book. But I have really found alot of help in Clinton Anderson's new book. With all these books combined my horse and I are doing good and I know we'll both learn alot. It's a good book and valuable addition to anyone's library. ...
