Sun Certified Programmer - Developer for Java 2 Study Guide Exam 310-035 - 310-027

5 stars (THE exam guide) - This book is not written in standard exam cram style. It gives you pretty deep information on different Java language aspects with small test on the end. You will need some programming background (may I recomend Thinking in Java by Bruce Eckel) to gain full advantage of this book. I had pretty good experience in VB.NET and C#.NET and this book enabled me to succesfully pass certification by reading it only once. 5 stars (Sun Certified Programmer Review) - All the preparation required to pass the Sun Certified Programmer Exam 310-035(Java 1.4) is contained in the book Java 2 Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates. This book is excellent!!! If you follow the books recommendations, you will be fully prepared for the exam and the types of questions that will be asked. I liked the two-minute drill which summarized the chapter's key points. The self-tests(after each chapter) and the practice exams (on the CD that comes with the book) really get you ready for the types of questions(tricky) you can expect on the exam. There are quite a few similar type books on the market but they do not have either the clarity or focus of this book. It is all you really need to pass the exam. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to get certified! 5 stars (Great study guide for the Programmer Exam) - Clearly written, entertaining, and good sample questions. 5 stars (Superb tour guide with sermons of biblical locations) - As he did with the prequel WALKING THE BIBLE: A JOURNEY BY LAND THROUGH THE FIVE BOOKS OF MOSES, Bruce Feiler combines a tour guide of biblical locations with intriguing annotations and "sermons" lifted from ancient times but also includes modern events. WHERE GOD WAS BORN: A JOURNEY BY LAND TO THE ROOTS OF RELIGION starts with Joshua and continues on through to the Babylonian captivity and the Diaspora written by a fine author who describes what he observes first hand. Well written with incredible insight somewhat thanks to archeological companion Avner Goren, readers will appreciate this fabulous journey that goes way beyond just Israel's' borders as the author finds greatness in the non-Jewish Semite cultures of the region as much as he embraces being a Jew. Because he and Mr. Goren are not armchair travelers, but instead visit the locales described, this superb reference work and his previous excellent nonfictions are inspirational for us religious moderates who believe in tolerance for all; suicidal extremists or intelligent designers who share in common their faith is the divine one need to pass as these groups will reinterpret the simple underlying moral message of Mr. Feiler's strong belief in the words of the bible. 21 Things I Wish My Broker Had Told Me - Practical Advice for New Real Estate Professionals

2 stars (One piece of advice...avoid it - Elizabeth and Jameson Thottam) - This is lousy entry book for Real Estate professionals. Myself and my husband, Jameson Thottam (he used to work with Real Estate firms such as The Loan Page, Homestore and IndyMac Bank), have been dabbling in residential real estate and we found this book a horrible start in terms of teaching the core secrets (i.e., valuation, SEC II stat techniques, tax implications and flippying and insider trading tips of how to find/negotiate the best properties). Trust us, Elizabeth and Jameson Thottam....we've been in the business for the last two years now and would not recommend this book. -The Thottam family 5 stars (Great for Newbies) - This book is a great way for new agents to know what they are getting into. The book covers a multitude of issues that people outside of the industry don't know about including what to expect (and what not to) from your broker. There's very little detail in the book, but it's a great overview and, quite frankly, you'd be hard pressed to get all of the information about real estate into 10 books, much less one. This is a terrific book for setting your expectations in a realistic place. It covers everything from planning your career change to how to hold an open house. I'd highly recommend it for new agents just getting started or for anyone thinking about getting started in the industry. I offer it as a suggestion to all the new agents I train. 4 stars (Very Good Book for New Licensees) - I am just got my license, and I can tell you, alot of the 'how to be successful in real estate in your first year' and from the various seminars I have attended, they all basically say the same thing - Market yourself, prepare for the rough patches, work, work, work to see results. A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide

4 stars (Solid Info, Good Book) - This is a good book with easy-to-follow chapters and the practice exams on the CD provide a great review. That said, do not expect the book or the practice exams to cover everything you may see on the actual tests. This book/CD combo provides an excellent foundation for preparing to pass both exams but it should not be the only study reference you use unless you already have some solid experience in building and repairing computers as well as experience with various Windows operating systems. I would emphasize having experience with multiple Windows environments because this book dedicates 30% at most to the OS exam (302). The book also has added value as a good reference to keep in your library after you pass the exams. All in all, well done. It did help me pass both exams on the first attempt. 5 stars (great item) - shipped pretty quick and it was in awsome shape, been reading it and havent finished it yet but has some great detailed things, specially if you want to read and learn about microprocessors, great book to get certified i would say although i am in the proccess of getting certifed. always buy latest edition and you'll be good! well recomended.
