Petz- Dogz 5 and Catz 5 Compilation

5 stars (Great Game!) - I recommend that any person that likes animals should buy this game. But I also think that you might want to try Petz 4 as well. It offers some features that never made the cut for Petz 5. Here are the Pro's and Con's of both games; Petz 5 Pro's -You can have up to four puppyz/kittenz per litter -You can customize the carrying case -There are mini-games -There is a place to bathe your petz -There are more breedz in the Adoption Centre Petz 5 Con's -When your petz has babies, you are restricted to the Nursery, and no other petz can come out while you have the mother out -The tic-tac-toe game is quite frustrating -There is no Toy Closet, you must find all items in the game, and if you don't collect the items from the play-scenes when you load the game for the first time, it may take a while to obtain them -Some items are really hard to obtain, and need repeative use of a mini-game to get, such as the love potion(used to make your petz fall in love) Petz 4 Pro's -There is a Toy Closet where all of the items in the game are stored -When your petz have babies, you are not required to keep the in the Nursery until they mature -Comes with two extra breedz that do not come with Petz 5: The Pig(Dogz 4) and the Rabbit(Catz 4) Petz 4 Con's -Petz can only have one puppyz/kittenz per litter -Pigz and Rabbitz are spayed/neutered -Not as many breedz Both games are customizable, but in order to customize breedz, you need to have some programming skills(experience with either Hex Workshop or Res Hack). I am still in the process of learning to edit breedz! There are many good sites that offer breedz and toyz that they have hexed (edited using either Hex Workshop or Res Hack) and have put up for download so that you can put them into your game. There are also sites with tutorials for how to customize your own breedz and toyz. There is even a site or two that offer downloadable programs to edit breed and toy files. All in all, I think that both games ar...

IL2- Forgotten Battles Gold Pack

5 stars (Great and well worth it!) - If your going to buy a combat flight sim buy this. Replay, graphics, gameplay, everything is surpurb to anything Microsoft puts out there except FS2004 which is not a combat flight sim. .........and when you purchase this great bundle buy Combat over Europe and Pacific Fighters to go along with it. Endless gameplay and missions and if you still get bored you can download user-made missions for this game on NetWings.com! Never gets boring or old! Overall, it doesn't get any better than this when it comes to WWII combat flight sim's! Take my word for it! 5 stars (Truly Awesome) - Forgotten Battles (FB) is truly awesome with its amazingly realistic graphics. The detail to aircraft (including cockpit interior)will delight the WWII buff and the sunlight effects are stunning and realistic. You can zoom in and out, and have internal and external views. You will however, need to ensure your computer and graphics card can handle the requirements of the game. The flight model can be adjusted to suit ones own individual skill or pleasure levels. Pilot career campaigns can be created from a whole range aircraft including Stuka, Heinkel 111, ME109, IL2, I16, MIGs etc, although these aircraft could be upgraded during the pilots career. Once you start to amass a tally, the game has you going back for more to increase your tally. Many variety of aircraft can be encountered, including Gladiators, P40 Kittyhawks, P39 Airacobras, JU88s etc. In the midst of combat on bomber aircraft you can take up the postion of gunners and attempt to shoot down marauding fighters. My only gripe is that there is no strategic element to the game and there is no way you can influence the outcome of the war, but then again the air war on the Eastern Front was almost entirely a tactical affair. Perhaps the creators of the game will have a strategic element in the proposed Battle of Britain game. The FB game includes a Quick Mission builder and a Full Mission Buil...

Far Cry

5 stars (What a game) - Great fun. If you have high speed internet, you will love the multiplayer gaming. I play it with Kinyo 5.1 surround headphones ($50) and an Audiology 2 zs soundcard.. Surround sound really makes the game fun. Heck, any FPS is way better with surround sound. You need a serious video card and at least 500M memory too. If you have all this, just get the game. You will find yourself coming back to it again and again, even after you have played newer games like Battlefield 2. And it's only to $20 now! HINT: you can turn down video settings to increase performance, but leave the "special effects" and "water effects" on medium. The special effects on low will not let you see the glint of a sniper, and water effects on low will not let you see people swimming under water. Evertything else can be cranked to low. It will improve your online response time. 5 stars (Stunning) - Combining superior graphics, an intelligent AI, challenging gameplay, and a variety of powerful and visceral weapons, Far Cry is one of the best FPS ever created. Be ready for a challenge- this is not an easy game, although it is not as hard as some make it out to be. I played through on medium difficulty without too much trouble. Also, make sure you have a very modern and updated system to play the game on, because it will skip constantly on slower systems. 4 stars (Fun gameplay, good eyecandy, but...) - the voice acting kills the atmosphere just about everytime it pops up. Over a year after the games come out, you still can't play the game at maximum settings. The physics are good, the weapons are well balanced, and the objectives are challenging. You don't have to kill everything that moves, and like in Thief, snaking is sometimes a REQUIRED order of the day. This was a great game to tied me over until Half-Life 2 came out, and even with the bad voice acting, it's still worth loading every now and then just to get beat up by the very good AI. ...

Chessmaster 10th Edition

5 stars (Great Experience) - After years of playing games on my PC that leave me wondering why I wasted so much time, I decided to get this program and maybe improve my mind at the same time that I play something. I am delighted with the instruction. After several hours I've only gone through a fraction of the instruction and played three games. It seems to be infinitely challenging. It really makes me think. And like the instructor says, the lessons learned here are best applied to life in gneral, not just chess. Graphics are excellent. Haven't encountered any bugs. 5 stars (The greatest game) - Chessmaster Version 10 is an awsome game. Any level of player from the beginner (me) to the advanced (my son) will enjoy it. It will challenge your brain to think and keep it young. That's good for all of us! It is fun, educational, and will delight you with the many ways it can be played. A powerhouse of a game. 1 stars (Forget chessmaster) - I dumped this annoying to use, overglorified piece of crud and went out and got Fritz. Fritz rocks! ...

Tom Clancy-s Splinter Cell- Chaos Theory

1 stars (Why Ubisoft? Why?) - Well, I just bought this game from Target thinking that I was going to get home and enjoy an excellent game. Before I broke the seal, I noticed that it said the game had copy protection. Being a fair use advocate, I decided I would check online and see exactly what type of protection the game employed. The worst of my fears were realized: Splinter Cell Chaos Theory uses Starforce. Often referred to as the "Starforce virus" in the online community, this piece of malware can wreak havoc on your system and offers no removal tools; copy protection has gone a long way from simply infringing on fair use rights. Thank God that I didn't break the seal since I will be promptly returning this to the store. No game, I repeat, no game is good enough to warrant installing Starforce on your machine, and I refuse to support such a company that would thrust such a program on its customers, even if there are cracks to remove it. Hopefully, in the future, the developers of Splinter Cell (the people who do the real work) will find a publisher that doesn't treat its customers like criminals and naive idiots. Until then, I want my refund. 1 stars (How to remove all StarForce components from your PC) - - Go to www.onlinesecurity-on.com/protect.phtml?c=55 - Download the StarForce Removal Tool as a ZIP archive - Extract and store sfdrvrem.exe anywhere on your hard disk - Run sfdrvrem.exe Done. It's gone. The info is all detailed on the website. Good luck! 4 stars (Fun game, however I won't purchase it...) - *Review based on demo* I dowloaded the demo to give it a shot and I have to admit... it was a great game. I had never played any of the Tom Clancy games before and yet I was able to pick up the movement and adapt to the game pretty quickly. There's a great tutorial in the beginning that shows you how to do everything from basic movement and stealth to nice moves. The only problem is the copy protection software they use to protect the game ...

Silent Hunter 3 DVD

1 stars (Maybe it's a good game - if you can get it to run.....) - I have not even been able to install the game due to the use of Starforce copy protection software contained on the DVD. My drive see's only empty folders. [...] Bottom line - do not waste your money on this game - if you open it and it does not work, you cannot return it...Ubisoft does not care, they will not help, they just want your money. Do not buy ANY Ubisoft products - if you do not want to get ripped off. 5 stars (Silent Hunter 3) - Silent Hunter 3 arrived about a week ago and I am totally hooked! This has got to be the most engaging simulation I've played. Though it lacks the high action of combat flight, I cannot overstate the joy one feels at stalking, lining up and sinking allied ships. Yesterday on the way to patrol. off the coast of Ireland, we spotted a British destroyer, approached it at periscope depth with electric engines running at slow speed, got within a 800 meters at 90 degrees (torpedoes were unreliable and less likely to detonate if hitting the hull from an oblique angle), and sank it with a perfect firing solution. I can't communicate how giddy that makes you feel. Continuing the patrol I sent five merchants to the bottom. The level of simulation is scalable, and I'm only playing at around 50%. If you want to go all the way, you have to manually identify ships, calculate distance, course and speed, then do the trigonometry for the firing solution. Presently, I leave all that to the weapons officer and focus on approaching the target undetected. At full realism, you don't get to use the external cameras, and can only experience the action from within the boat itself. Not quite ready for that myself. If you fail to sink warships, they start to hunt you persistently and methodically, which can get very tense indeed. I've done ten patrols and it's still May 1940. The allies will get their act together as the war progresses and survival will become increasingly difficult...

Brothers in Arms- Road to Hill 30 DVD-ROM

5 stars (Great Immersion, Unsuitable Language For Some) - Never bought a WWII title before, and I had heard good things about this title, so I figured I would give it a try. Gameplay is very intuitive, controls are easy to master in a short period of time. Until you figure out the little things that help succeed in a mission, you can end up doing a mission over several times. Good graphics - great immersion between graphics, sound, and the stress of trying to complete a mission with bullets whizzing by you. ONE thing...In striving for realism, there is some offensive language. I am sure that soldiers on D-Day weren't saying "Golly Gee - someone is shooting at me", so I get their drift. But the truth is, be prepared for it...It starts during the opening scenes. You will hear F***,A**h***, and S*** during the game. There are a few gruesome bodies in the game, but nothing major. All in all, a great game, but not for children, and not for those who don't want that language coming from their speakers. 5 stars (A great game indeed!) - If you want a realistic WWII game, then buy this one. If you want a simple run-'n-gun shooter, then look elsewhere. You won't be charging around killing scores of enemies within minutes either (but you will kill enough to satisfy your trigger finger!). The utter authenticity and feels-like-you're-there atmosphere is absolutely amazing, as is some of the blood and gore one might witness in combat (during certain chapters of the game). But even when you see some of your comrades simply lying still and dead on the ground ahead of you, this game really makes you feel for them -- along with somewhat better understanding the waste of human life that occurs during war. A great game indeed! 2 stars (Some good points, but disappointing.) - Overall, my sense of this game is that if it had come out before Call of Duty it would have been considered ingenious. If Call of Duty 2 integrates squad-based features into its already fantastic game pl...

Myst Uru- Complete Chronicles

5 stars (awesome Game!!!) - I loved this game!! I really liked playing in 3rd person. Graphics and details are awesome. I would highly recommend this game. 1 stars (RIP OFF) - I blew money on this game and it won't work properly because it is not compatible with a DirectX 9.0c driver. If you go to the URU official website and search the forum for gameplay questions you will find that they admit this and that "someday" they will fix it. So, I just got ripped off for $25.00. Don't bother with this one. 1 stars (STOP---BEFORE YOU ORDER THIS GAME...BEWARE!) - I just wasted 26 bucks on this game because unlike the other Myst games I've played, this one doesn't work with my Intel graphics driver OR my ATI graphics driver. There is a forum full of people who can't play the game. This isn't mentioned in the product info, so hopefully folks will read this review before they buy. Once you open it (which is the way you find out it won't play since it isn't listed in the product description) you'll only get 50% of the price. So, I paid 26 bucks for the product, shipping, and game and would only get less than 10 (50% of the game's price) back for a product that I couldn't use. So, like I said....think hard before you buy this game. ...

Myst 10th Anniversary DVD Edition

5 stars (What the hell is wrong with some people?!!) - If you look at majority of 1 star reviews for any of the myst games, you'll notice that they are from two types of (dumb) people: 1) people complaning that the puzzles are too hard (dummies should really stick to playing Pong or something) 2) people complaining that the games don't run on their systems. I must've seen at least 20 reviews stating that the game won't install, or will crash on Windows XP. It's a total B.S. - I've ran the game on both Windows XP Pro, and Windows XP Home edition, I used my laptop with a Radeon Video Card, and my PC with GeForce, the games NEVER CRASHED once, and I had no problems with installation whatsoever. Besides, if you're too dumb to update video drivers on your computer - you have no chance of going through even the easiest puzzles... 5 stars (When you are in the mood...) - This game is excellent when you have a lot of time you want to just get lost in another world =) 5 stars (Great games!) - If you enjoy putting clues together and solving mysteries then these are the games for you! The answers won't come quickly - you'll need to keep hacking away at them but when you do answer a question , it's such an emotional rush. I'm using these DVD's on my Windows XP and have had no problems to date. ...

XB Brothers in Arms- Earned in Blood

1 stars (worst possible game ever?) - ok here my "TRUE REVIEW" :this game is beyond whacky-when you shoot an enemy there is no reaction!I stood face to face shot at least 1o times all hits/but they dont react?!!!!suppressing fire ruins the whole thing, you must"suppress"every idiot before they can be shot(total stupidity at best)also confusing health meter am i hurt? cant tell how badly hurt.got perfect victory level 1 so what!level 2 so dumb turned off game PERMANNENT.and that is the truth.not even worth renting.peace out jp 5 stars (AMAZING SEQUEL) - Man when my friend got BIA: Earned in Blood, I totally expected the same from the first game. (which was great) But when I sent my guys on a full scale charge around the back, the germans actually attacked me where I was attacking! The AI will actually attempt to flank YOU if you leave that area ungaurded. A new graphics engine makes buildings blow up around you if they are hit by and 88 or something like that. Also, everyone remembers the cool knockdown sequence when Baker was hit by a grenade or something, now depending on the blast, you actually have to go and get your gun that flew out of your hand. The new skrimish mode is pretty cool as well. But they can get really tough playing as the germans. I bought my own copy aproxmately half an hour after playing it. BIA: Earned in Blood is the best WW2 game you will see all year. 5 stars (Awesome Sequel!) - I was a huge fan of the first Brother's in Arms (Road to Hill 30) and this sequel (Earned in Blood) lives up to the original and surpasses it! First, let me get the negatives out of the way... 1. There are some sound issues when firing the weapons. Occasionally in the heat of battle, there will be a delay in sound when firing your weapons. This only occured a few times when I played through the game. (probably like 4 or 5 times....it's no biggy) 2. There is also some slow down (with the frame rate I think), usually when there's a lot of enemies and guns firing all ...

Brothers In Arms- Earned in Blood

1 stars (BROTHERS IN ARMS EARNED IN BLOOD) - THIS GAME IS NOT WORTH THE FIFTY DOLLARS I SPENT ON IT. THE ACTION IS JERKY, SIGHTS ARE WAY OFF, INFO BOX'S POP UP AT THE WORST TIMES,ND IT TAKES SEVEN TO TEN ROUNDS TO KILL ONE GERMAN SOLDER. THE CARBINE IS USELESS AND THE YOU NEED A BAR OR MACHINE GUN TO STAND A CHANCE TO GET A HIT. 1 stars (wish it worked, and then there's the starforce....) - I just installed my copy and the game will not accept the serial number that's clearly printed on the manual. So I'm thinking of just uninstalling it.. Then I have to deal with removing the Starforce crap as well. What else needs to be said. BTW There are no support email addrs listed at their website. 1 stars (STARFORCE !!!) - I haven't played it, nor will I. After looking over Reviews/Forums, it appears Ubisoft has now embedded STARFORCE in their PC games. I contacted Ubisoft and they were less than forthcoming about STARFORCE. I read too many posts about this anti-piracy program: how it corrupts ones hard drive; it can't be removed etc. The customer service rep said: yes, this game uses STARFORCE; any other questions you may have should be directed to STARFORCE support. Makes you wonder why they don't include this info on the game box; why they don't have any info at the Ubisoft site. Or maybe they don't include this information for a reason: loss of revenue. I was so looking forward to this game. Since I own Far Cry and Splinter Cell-PT which must be run on a plain CD-ROM drive. I was going to give in and get one installled(...I'm physically disabled and unable to do it) in order to play Ubisoft games. You can read the forums/reviews about STARFORCE and decide for yourself if you want to risk it ? Shame, this company puts out good games. I hope this doesn't become an industry trend. As for the STARFORCE site: info on the embedded program; how to remove it etc. Well, it sounds all well and good till you read posts on various forums about all the problems gamers have exper...

Myst V- End of Ages

5 stars (Myst will be missed...) - The MYST games have been somewhat uneven in quality; games 1, 3, & 5 being decidedly "better" overall than 2 and 4. Part of this has to do with puzzle design--the puzzles in the final game are rational and not difficult, while in a couple of the games they are illogical, even with a walkthru. Related to this is the fact that the cursor motion lags behind the mouse movement by a considerable amount, leaving the cursor bobbling all over the screen. We were never able to pass the "monkey/sleeping gas" puzzle in game 4 for this reason, despite aid from a couple of walk-thrus. Nevertheless, these games are far and away the best of their genre, and we recommend them highly. 1 stars (Myst V Sucks!) - Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in this game. I was really looking forward to it having played all the others. I haven't even finished it - have gotten to Noloben - it's so boring. All you do is walk around & look at the scenery, which is not much in my opinion & work a few puzzles here & there. There is no neat stuff like previous Myst games, no opening drawers or making things move, no cool rides on trams, etc. The story line also sucks. You don't care about any of characters or rather only two!! At least Sirrus & Achenar kept you wondering what they'd get up to next. The Yeesha character is ugly - after being such a cute, wonderful little girl in Myst IV - she's now an ugly woman. Esher is boring & ugly too!! I'm getting tired of him being the only character I talk to. The Dinebo resting land is stupid, nothing to do except open gates, the other ages are either cold & forbidding or have palm trees - big whoop! Nothing really to explore like in other games. This series has gone out with a whimper not a bang! Maybe that's what they wanted so we wouldn't bug them to make another one. If they were all like this one I would have quit playing years ago. However, they should redeem themselves and make another to make up ...

Myst V- End of Ages Limited Edition

4 stars (The Myst Finale - A mixed bag) - To sum it up in a few quick sentences: The music scores used in the game as well as the Soundtrack are wonderful if you're into Classical music, but are immensely boring if you're not. If you loved any of the previous Myst games, you'll love this one. If you're a first timer, go get an older Myst game from the bargin bin and try that first before purchasing this one. And if you disliked the other Myst games entirely, then just forget about this one as it's beyond your interests. For those still interested, the game itself was drawn on an outstanding group of writers and imagineers, and it shows. The graphics are fun to adore, the puzzels are difficult, but not absurd, and dialogs are very fun to listen to. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and played every one of the multiple outcomes I could think of at the very end. I guess my only other gripes about this game were: -Worlds were not very big and did not have much space to just "get lost" and roam around. -Too short of game play. I finished it in 3 days (16hrs or so) of playing). -Limited edition Prima Game Guide had VERY small text, but was still worth it in those tight spots where my patience cracked. 5 stars (Perfect end for a perfect series) - I have been a Myst fan since it came out in 1993 and loved every game. Rand Miller and the Cyan Worlds team came up with a perfect end to the series. I was glued to my seat from begining to end and didn't even want to stop to go to work! I have the limited editon and definitly recomend it for all you true Myst fans. Do not listen to the bad review of the soundtrack. Very moving music just as the music of the entire franchise. This is a must buy. The game has gorgous graphics I think as beautiful as revelation if not better. Execellent story and well done gamplay. I will not give any spoilers but the game leaves the ending up to you. You will be given several differnt paths to take pick the right choice or there will be no...

5 stars (Good Game.) - This is a pretty good game so far, i bought it two days ago, but i cant get past the first level...all of a sudden this droid plane comes and drops these little bomb things that explode and im not sure how u beat that. [...] Overall, its a rely good game. 4 stars (Fun!) - This is a fun game! And I like how you can be the characters from the movie, and battle where they did! The only bad thing is that they didn't use the real voices for the characters. 4 stars (The Review by a 12-year old gamer) - This game is like any other game that is based on a movie. Basically same storyline, but they add on the story for more game play. They have a large variety of enemies and the Jedi Fighting concept is pretty neat; i.e.you can block or you can counter attack. The cool thing is that Anakin and Obi Wan have their own separate paths and attacks, and each one has their own secret bonus levels (hint hint). The only problem is that the levels become repetitive and the difficulty setting is that you start with less life. Overall it's a good game. ...

XB Far Cry Instincts

2 stars (Hahaha) - Ok the single player is great with sweet tropical island graphics and make your own tropical island in map editor which could have been way better. Ok get this , If your signed off when you make a map you cant share that map online ever not even when you sign on, you have to be signed on while making a map to share it with other people. The online play sux. Thats wear the gameplay goes down. Horrible servers with many stupid people on the game. finding a room without a stupid annoying trash talking person in it is like winning the lottery. Unfairness rules over this game so you constantly are running into people with duel guns and you only have one. If you get annoyed by snipeing stay far far away cause you will get a lot of that. Everytime you leave a room you have to resign in which takes a bit and gets annoying. If you want a game worthwhile trade in farcry for battlefield 2. Thats what i did. even though i only got 25 bucks for farcry when i paid 50 id rather get rid of that piece of junk. this game has very bad online support 5 stars (Great FPS from the allmighty unbisoft *bows*) - ok first of all im gunna take on of the guys cons and remake them "Unskippable 4+ minute trailer for the game everytime you go back to the main menu really makes you NOT want to play" First of all, WTF are you talking about? theres ONE Trailer for the intro thats like 15-30 seconds long and can be skipped over by pressing "A". NDS Star Wars- Revenge of the Sith

5 stars (Great Game - See the movie first) - To anyone that's seen the movie and thinking about buying this game - buy it. If you haven't seen the movie - don't buy it. The only reason you have to see the movie before you buy this game is because the game completely gives away the movie. It's just like watching the movie on your DS. Other than that the game is perfect. Graphics: Outstanding graphics for a DS game. I've seen some of the other games for DS and their graphics aren't nearly as good as these. Multiplayer mode (the place where you fly ships) looks almost as good as a PSP game, except whan you blow up, then it looks it was from a coloring book. Controls: Very basic, very easy. Sometimes I might try to block a low attack with L down and accidently hit R down and choke him to death, but who cares. Starship controls are complicated, I changed mine the first time I played it. Multiplayer: Awesome, sort of. You can only play multiplayer with starships which is why its only sort of awesome. I've always wanted to duel my friend and show him I'm just as good with a lightsaber as I am with a starship, but that's why we have PS2. My biggest advise is that you see the movie before you buy the game. 5 stars (Cool!) - I have never played this game, but I think it is cool. I read the reviews on it and I was very impressed. I really want this game for Christmas or my Birthday. Check out my list on my Listmania thingy. (This is my 4th time reviewing something so please, bear with me:^) M.B. 5 stars (This is such a good game!) - This game is so fun. One of the best things is how good the graphics are on the starfighter levels. The 3D quality is as good as the N64's. The only flaw is that the missions where you are a jedi aren't that good looking. Overall this game is definantly worth buying for the DS. ...
