IRIS Pen Executive Handheld Scanner

5 stars (great product!) - First, I hesitated to buy this product because of a few bad reviews. But then I wanted to take a chance and I'm very glad I bought it finally! IRIS Pen Executive works great! 2 stars (Not impressed!) - I have yet to get this pen to scan one complete, readable sentence and believe me I have tried. I tried calibrating it on different shades of white paper to see if that helped but to no avail. The only thing it would scan reasonably well was the instruction booklet that came with the pen. Go figure! Iris support tells me to calibrate and practice but I learned to play guitar faster than I have learned to use this scanner! 5 stars (Believe it!) - I did hours of research on hand held scanners and almost did not purchase ANY do to all the confusion. I took a chance and Bought the IRISpen Executive scanner. In only a few minutes I had the software loaded (painless) and was scanning material from everything I could get my hands on. Once I learned how to hold it for my hand posture (5 minutes)it was a snap. I have read other reviews and can not figure out why anyone would not want this... it is fantastic. It is much faster then typing. In a few minutes I had scanned pages of material that I had collected for over a year. I am not a techy kind of guy so this was awesome. I give it 5 stars! I can only scratch my head If someone cannot figure this out. ...

IRIS Business Card Reader II for Windows-PC

5 stars (Awesome Product) - This is a superb product. Electronic rolodex with the options to export to Outlook and many other programs. Automatically fills in the information from the card to the program. Great feature! 1 stars (Would be great if customer service was behind you) - I purchased the item because I work for a company that deals with a lot of other companies and getting business cards is a large part of the communication. I thought it would streamline the process. It would but the unit keeps crashing. I would enter 20 or 30 business cards, write all the contact information in and then the next time I go to access it, it won't let me in. I get an error message. I've tried to get in touch with IRIS and get it resolved but they don't respond. Very dissapointed. 5 stars (Great, easy to use tool!) - This product rocks! I attend trade shows quite frequently and have needed a business card scanner for awhile. The IBCR is a great tool which makes it easy for me to organize and maintain my contact database. I no longer have stacks of cards sitting around in my way on my desk because they are in my computer and just a click away. I've also used the scanner to scan color photographs and it's worked great for that as well. I have had no problems with the scanner working with XP, it's worked nicely for me. ...
