The Matrix Online

4 stars (If you're a Matrix fan, this might be for you. Otherwise....) - If you're a fan of the Matrix, you'll appreciate that this game is about as close as we can come to bringing the movie to life. Hundreds or thousands of people, all connected to the same virtual environment - in essence, "jacked in" to the Matrix. Without going into enormous detail, let me just say that the world of the Matrix is huge and there are many, many different things to do and explore. The system of movement and (especially) combat is difficult at first, but after a period of adjustment, it becomes very easy to operate. The best part is that you can participate in the continuation of the Matrix story. If you didn't find enough resolution at the end of the third movie, this is your chance to find out what happens next. Now for the bad news. The MegaCity in the Matrix is rampant with street gangs. At first, ALL of them are tougher than you. This tends to restrict the areas you have access to. As you progress in the game, you earn experience points which will eventually raise your character to a higher level (you start at level 1 and max out at level 50). The higher your level, the tougher your character. This isn't really the bad news. The bad news is the incredible amount of time it takes to raise your levels. They go quickly at first, but soon it takes several hours of committed gameplay to raise yourself even one level. That in itself wouldn't be such a problem, but you can't really participate in the major live events unless you attain a very high level. THE BOTTOM LINE: The game will be a rewarding experience to fans of the Matrix who won't mind the level of commitment required to progress in the game. Those who don't care about the story of the Matrix are likely to become frustrated early on. However, if you're curious about the game, it's only $30 and that comes with a free month of gameplay. A month is plenty of time to find out whether or not you're willing to pay $15 ...

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

4 stars (4/5) - the next sequel after sonic adventrue this is the same gameplay as sonic adventure 2 on the dreamcast much better graphics, more character, more gameplay and 2 player :D. remmbr Sonic Adventure and Sonic Battle are both the same, is just sonic battle is when the character fight, and sonic adventure is sonic's adventure 5 stars (BUY IT!!!!!!!BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - Sonic.... deffidently used to be the best game franchise. But now there's these Sonic Heroes and Sonic X things goin on, which really sucks. This will ALWAYS be the best Sonic game. PROS! -Great graphics! -Great voices! -Great gameplay! -Great character relationships! -Great Chao Garden! -THE BEST MUSIC EEEEVVVVUUUURRRR!!!!!!!! THE ONE AND ONLY CON! -In SA, you can roam around anywhere you want. Here, you cannot. Well, if you were only to buy 1 Sonic game, I'd say this. 5 stars (Still the best Sonic game out after maybe 3-4 years or so...) - This game is very, very, very, good! Infact it is one of the few good games out for the Cube right now. It is only rivaled by: Super Smash Bros., Zelda Windwaker, and Animal Crossing. Get this game it is getting more uncommon to find this game as time flies by. soon this game might be costing you an arm and a leg. One of the most popular aspects of the Game is the Chao, these are creatures that the various Sonic characters in the game collect items and food for during the stages. they are what keep me playing and why should mainly buy this game. you might get bored after about 60 hours of gameplay after beating the game so watch out. This ain't to much of a problem cause it's replay and after game value is good and addictive. Like I said, This game is slowly disappearing so I'd buy it quick if I haven't already. ...

Rome Total War- Barbarian Invasion Expansion Pack

4 stars (An expansion with both pluses and minuses) - Fans of Rome Total War would do well to give serious attention to this expansion set. In the best tradition of expansions, Barbarian Invasion offers new challenges and twists to players grown jaded. By moving the game forward a few centuries to the early Christian era, players can enjoy playing new factions, such as the Huns, as well as playing Eastern or Western Rome. Also a major plus, the designers have improved mightily on AI, so the game no longer makes serious mistakes, like not launching counter attacks as you advance and not exploiting obvious player weaknesses. Indeed, if you tired of Rome Total War because you got bored playing circles around the AI and simply mopping up to achieve victory conditions, this represents a whole new game. On the less positive side, the game now incorporates religion into play. On the whole this offers intriguing possibilities to the player, forcing you to deal with a major social force in the period, competing faiths. While designers did a good job, incorporating the impact of important characters and geography, in a few crucial ways they made mistakes. Cities, all of which have official faiths, never change those faiths. Thus, a pagan city where the entire population is Christian after 100 game years remains a pagan city. The people revolt because there are no churches, and the player can only sit and pound the table. Forums on the game hash out this issue ad nausea, but in the end it is simply ham handed, frustrating, and offers an excellent opportunity for a patch. Despite such foibles, BI represents a major challenge.
