5 stars (Love this game) - We got this for my 3 year old's birthday present and he loves it. It was unbelieveable how fast he mastered the mouse. He is able to play on his own but it is fun to play with him too. He has learned a lot from this game. We also stocked up on cheaper games, but they are worthless - this is definitely worth the $20. 5 stars ( Alphabet Express Preschool is great) - Aside from my son being scared of clowns, this is a great creation! 1 stars (System requirements misleading) - I really can't give this product any stars . . . the system requirements say 7 or later, but later stops at OS9. This product is NOT OS X compatible, so please beware! ...

Spelling Puzzles 1

5 stars (School Zone does it again!) - School Zone's Spelling Puzzles CD-Rom is an excellent home teaching aid. It features 30 different spelling worksheets. The program grades the child's work, tracks the child's progress and allows the child to correct answers. The worksheets are interspersed with humorous cartoons of 'cheerleaders' doing victory dances and making encouraging comments. In between worksheets, the child plays one of three computer games. My child became very excited about this program and completed the worksheets at a single sitting. I am duly impressed -- this CD is very well done. School Zone should be proud of itself. The worksheets themselves are very similar to the printed paper worksheets used in first grade classrooms. My son shows almost no interest in the paper worksheets handed out at his school but eagerly attacks School Zone's electronic version. This proves, once again, that inspired packaging and presentation make a difference. 4 stars (Fun program) - This game is really fun. It's not particularly deep, but it gets kids practising spelling and reading in a very exciting (not overstimulating) environment. The game contains sets of 30 worksheets that kids fill in, and they get rewarded with games (that are hard to master, but the challenge is actually motivating). Good, especially for the price, and there's a workbook included with the CD-ROM. ...

Math 2

5 stars (Great for second graders and home motivation.) - I teach a first/second grade combonation class. This math program allows my second graders to learn at their own abilities, and my high first graders to be challenged. The program keeps track of the students progress and allows them to correct the problems they missed. (I like that a lot!) It is also a great motivation for my own child at home. He is in school all day. So coming home to do more work is tough, this lets him practice his math in a different way. Great program!!! ...

Math 1

5 stars (Fantastic) - I teach a first/second combination class and this CD works wonders with my first graders. They love the the updated certificates they get to print out each session. This is a program that I can use on going the whole year. It follows the standards and a child can work independently at it. The best feature is that a student can go back and fix errors they made. There are games that they play after they are down with a lesson. The last feature I was impressed with is the scratch pad. Students can use there mouse to figure out problems on the side of the problem, using a the scratch pad (just like using a pencil and a paper) I am very happy with using this in my classroom and so are the first graders. ...

Transition Math Grades K-1

5 stars (Easy to follow directions and still gets the point across!) - I bought this program for my son when he was in kindergarten. It helped him to recognize the numbers and to associate them with amounts and so forth. The directions are not complicated and very easy to follow. It is set up like several workbook pages. If they get the problem right then they get a big star. If not, they get a big red check mark but are able to re-do the question and get a big star so they don't feel so bad. It is basic, so if you want something more complicated then this is not it. This program is great if they have had little exposure to numbers . My child did not expereince any frustration when operating this program. He asks to play it and it keeps him busy. He also has a good hold on his numbers now (which is great!) ...
