Tie Me Up- Tie Me Down

1 stars (Save your money - This is not Erotica) - Or at least it doesn't compare at all to what I've previously read. The first two stories are like any Harlequin short story. The handcuffs added a touch of humor to the stories and the abduction, if it can be called that, was pretty mild mannered. The biggest disappointment was the Jaid Black story. The first few chapters were good, the plot, the leading lady, but after the Hunter claimed his "rights" to marry, it turned into a disaster. The dialogue was crude and uninspired. It felt like being catapulted into a bad parody of an x-rated movie. Before trying to sell this anthology as Erotica, the publishers should have researched the subject by reading an Emma Holly book, or a Black Lace novel. 2 stars (Not Memorable) - I'd pass on this one if i were you. The stories were blah and the writing uninspired. I have enjoyed other Sherrilyn Kenyon books, and would recommend some of them. For really memorable erotic reading try one of these: 1) Bedtime Stories for Women by Nancy Madore, 2) Shameless by hanne Blank, 3) Big Guns by Sherrilyn Kenyon, 4) Sex Chronicles by Zane 2 stars (Very Disappointing) - The title is very attention grabbing. And Sherrilyn Kenyon is a "must buy" for me, and will always remain so. While I usually stear clear of anthologies, with Kenyon's name on the book, I couldn't resist. Romantica, no. Fluff, yes. ...

Warcraft- Of Blood and Honor

4 stars (Outstanding, provisionally...) - Mr. Metzen's 'Of Blood and Honor' is a stirring tale of a paladin's struggle between duty and honor. It is also a metaphor for racial hatreds and the blind injustices that sometimes result. I found this short tale charming and immersive. A quick note of caution. This being my first Adobe e-reader format e-book purchase, I was disappointed to discover that the 'permissions' (or lack thereof) make the book unprintable. Also, the download is registered by both the server from which it is downloaded and by the e-reader software on the computer to which it is downloaded. Ultimately, what this means is: Make sure you are willing to read this only from a monitor. You also cannot make backup copies, nor can you download the book again if something goes amiss (although I'm sure with a quick e-mail, Amazon.com will hook you up). Technical media issues aside, the book is worth the price. Enjoy it. 4 stars (Overall Well Written) - Blood and Honor was very comparable to Day of the Dragon, the other Warcraft book. The character of Fordring and the inner turmoil he faces are very well developed and the impact that his decisions have make for some wonderful plot twists. The book does a great job at foreshadowing more to come and there's even some surprise visitors in the book! Probably my only complaint and this is minor is the appearence of certain characters in the novel that I had believed something else had occured to them in the games. This is maybe a little picky and doesn't detract from the overall story, just thought it was interesting. I highly recommend this book, it's a quick read and keeps those epages turning! ...

To Pleasure a Prince

5 stars (Palatable passion) - Marcus was a perfect hero and Regina is just the match for him. I found the characters to be multi-dimensional and the author weaves a mystery into the story without slowing it down or interrupting the romantic flow. I loved that were too lost souls who found each other. They healed each others wounds. Marcus is handsome, sexy, intelligent, but embittered by life. I am always a sucker for stories with "heartless" heroes who find their souls through the love of a good woman. The dialogue that ensues between Marus and Regina is just fast paced and very enjoyable. The plot and characters seemed fresh, the pace was quick, and it was a totally engrossing read. This was an awfully good and original read! It was written with an amazing level of intensity and feeling that my heart was pumping furiously with palatable passion. 5 stars (A Couple to Love) - The thing I love most about Sabrina Jeffries is that her stories are DIFFERENT. So many heroines are perfect, and so many heroes are charming, but her characters in this book were anything but! (And that's NOT a bad thing.) Lady Regina is a woman with a serious secret flaw, and Marcus is about the LEAST charming hero I've ever read, but I fell in love with him by the end of the book, just like Regina! This was a wonderful, tightly woven, satisfying read, and I can't wait to get to the next book! 5 stars (Great Read!!!) - This is the first book of Sabrina Jeffries books that I have read, though the second book in the series. I didn't have very high expectations of this book because it's a historical romance and normally have the same kind of story line as many other books, but was surprised when I really liked the book. Sabrina Jeffries was able to created characters that were thoroughly enjoyable. Lord Draker has cut himself off from society and his only care is for his sister, Louisa, who is coming out for the season. Angels - Demons

5 stars (angles and demons) - The story talks about Brilliant physicist Leonardo Vetra, who was attempting to use science to prove the existence of God, has been murdered; his eyes plucked out and the society's ancient symbol branded upon his chest. His final discovery, anti-matter, the most powerful and dangerous energy source known to man, has disappeared. Langdon and Vittoria, Vetra's daughter, embark on a frantic hunt through Rome, following a 400-year-old trail to the lair of the Illuminati, to prevent the incineration of civilization. Dan Brown is quite a talent man. This novel is very interesting and exciting. There is a mystery and suspense. It shows comparison between religion and science, as to the relationship between the two supposedly opposing positions. The Illuminati and antimatter are amazing. I strongly believe that you might fall in love with this novel and refuse to stop reading it. Finally, I am looking forward to reading next novel. 5 stars (the Angels have it) - Like millions of people I read THE DA VINCI CODE and loved it so thought I would try ANGELS AND DEMONS. It's a book about secret brotherhoods, religion and dark assassins. Once again the central character is Robert Langdon. It's a brilliant read. ALSO if you like religious thrillers, I highly recommend STEALING FROM ANGELS by Brian Dullaghan. I would say these are my best two books for 2005. 5 stars (Incredible Read!) - This, along with The da Vinci Code, is one of my new favorite books. It follows Robert Langdon on the trail of a killer and a madman threatening to use a deadly weapon to blow up Vatican City. Dan Brown is an amazing suspense/thriller/mystery author and I'm looking forward to The Solomon Key. While I'm not sure when that'll be coming out, I'm looking forward to the da Vinci Code movie (starring Tom Hanks) and I'm planning on reading more of Brown's books. This book is highly recommended. Gods of Green Mountain

1 stars ( Gods of Green Mountain ) - Wonderful book a story by one of my most favorite authors. I am so glad that I was able to read yet another great book by her. The book talks about a place that although not like Earth in many ways the way they become more civilized is very much like Earth. A wonderful book and so different from her others. So you might ask why only one star? Easy it was an E-BOOK! Who's moronic idea was this? I like to read books in bed or on trips I have a life outside the computer. Naturaly I am not going to drag my enitre DESKTOP with me. If the book wasn't by V.C. Andrews I wouldn't even condisered BUYING it I thought if they sold it they might give us a way to a least print it out, now I am upset that I did. So yes, great book but a lousy way of getting it out. I hope to anyone who might be listening to PUBLISH the book on paper and sell it like a book not like a program. For heaven sake it is over 600 pages long is it really that hard? It could make millions for the publishing company if done. ...
