5 stars (It Has Everything) - This has more clip art then I will ever need! 14, I repeat, 14 CD's full of clip art. It has vector and raster images, web graphics, high res photos, and backgrounds. The variety of clip art is amazing. I will highly recommend this clip art to anyone in need of high quality clip art!!!! 2 stars (comic book illustrations) - drawn by a 5-year old. I'm sorry, most of the vector and raster illustrations contained here are of very poor quality in my opinion. And, like some of the other reviews, I was not impressed w/ the photographs. Looks like someones bad vacation photos in spots, I counted 8 out of focus exposures of what looks like a hawk or something at great distance. Who got paid for that junk? I will keep it, but only because of the classic illustrations on a couple of the discs, and the fact I got a rebate. 2 stars (Don't Buy it for the Photo Images) - I have been searching everywhere for a product featuring professional, diverse photos. Where have they all gone? I am returning this product because I have no use for clipart and the photos are clearly pulled from somebody's old photo albums. They are no where near the professional quality shown on the box. Many photos are dark or horribly formatted and/or just plain cheesy. However, I am very impressed by Nova's "No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee." Hooray for that! ...

2 stars (Transparency Problem) - This product is very nice when it works. However, I'm having the same problem as the reviewer below me. When I attempt to export the image - either by saving, draging or copying, Hemera places a transparency over the object, making the product worthless. I gave it two stars because, for the two months it worked, it worked well, however, now, it won't work at all. And as the other reviewer stated, support is nearly non-existant. 1 stars (Can't use this program) - This product offers much to chose from and I really liked the photos. However, I have yet to get this program to work right. I am able to view the photos but when I go into the the Export Wizard to save the photos, the photo has a transparency over the top of it, instead of in the background. I tried bypassing the Export Wizard by right clicking on the selected photo and saving. This also inserts the transparency over the photo. I called Hemera in Canada and they instructed me to call Encore USA in CA for support. Encore USA said they couldn't help me. Encore's technical support is "limited to crashes, error messages and lockups". I also referred to their website hoping to find help in the knowledge base or FAQ's. There was VERY little about this software and no help to be found. I wasted my money on a product I can't use and that offers no support for issues out of my control. 4 stars (Best value Hemera offers, but a few cautions) - First, if you're thinking about using these photos for print, you may wish to think again. Most objects run between 300-600 pixels in width or height, or 1-2 inches at 300 DPI. Stretch them bigger than that, and they'll start to blur and/or get jagged. Also note, that if you try to export/save an image from the Hemera Image browser and select the 300 DPI setting, the browser may stretch the graphic larger than it's actual size, causing blurring and jaggedness right out of the gate. 3 stars (Great beginning - but I wish for a bit more) - As a freelance web designer/graphic artist I live in a perpetual state of stock photography desperation. I bought this BizArt package in the hopes that it would give me at least a starting point of business photography into which I could reach for those jobs that just don't warrant getting the expensive stuff from Getty or Corbis. On one hand I love this set, on the other I don't. I confess I was hoping for more full-frame photos, even though I know Hemera is mostly known for its "photo objects". There are some, but not always enough of the type I've wanted. My other complaint is a lack of diversity. Most of the group shots of people are standard caucasian yuppy types. As someone who prefers to represent more diverse racial makeups in my designs, this was very limiting and disappointing. I have frequently had to resort to taking a person of another nationality out of one group and try to insert them into another - not a time-saver. However I do use the clip photos provided here often as a good basis for other pieces. Not a set you want to rely on solely as your source of business photos, but a good starter for the price and a lot better than many cheaper sets I've seen around. ...

What they don't tell you on the box is that this program hasn't been tested on laptops! And quess what, it doesn't work. When you go to the recommened support website they tell you right away. But think again. You have to suffer through endless downloads to get more than the handful of images they give you in the box. And to top it all off, the membership expires after a year. Photo Objects 50-000 Vol 3

1 stars (Depends on your use) - The Hemera "Photo Clip Art 150,000" contains almost all the images in this collection, but this is nearly 4x the price for 1/3 the images. What is the difference? The images here have about a 20% higher resolution and transparency masks (i.e. Photo Clip Art forces you to have a colored background, but you can have no background with photo objects). Neither is really suitable for print unless you don't want to print any of the photos beyond 2 inches high/wide. If you're designing for the web, you're usually going to throw a background in behind photos anyway, or if you need the transparency, you can easily select some obscure color for the background and "magic wand" it out in 30 seconds. So, if you bought the whole photo objects collection, you'd spend nearly ten times as much to get mostly the same photos (i.e. Photo Clip Art has 26 photos of an Asian woman as a nurse while Photo Objects has the same 26 photos plus 3 more) a little larger and with transparency. If you're a professional designer who would use this extensively, the extra cost might be worth it. But if you're dabbling in web design, get the "Photo Clip Art 150,000" instead and save yourself a LOT of money. 1 stars (Buggy program and non-existent support) - Sigh.........program will not run or install unless you close absolutely everything including antivirus. I'm not comfortable with that. Support has no interest in responding unless you're paying for it. 1 stars (Are they Kidding???) - This product is horrible. The images of trucks, vehicles, cars are toys!! This is not a product that can be used professionally by a company looking to keep desktop publishing in-house. Even for free-lance work, most of these images are too cheesy to use...I would be embarrassed. There are far too many photo objects of the same item from different angles. More of a variety would be nice. I haven't yet found one photo object I can use either for our web-site, marketing material...

5 stars (Truely Amazing Animation Works) - I must truly applaud the staff on their extraordinary animation works. The variety and originality in various 3D effects is very apparent. Being the first timer to adopt the 3D technology in my business, I'd like to share my experience as a previously upset user but turned out to be a very pleased customer -- inadequate system resources or graphic card configurations (e.g., the cheep integrated video card) are the main reason that I have had continuous problems in performance and quality. Once this has been resolved, everything turns to be very smooth and great. Many evidences of this kind of change similar to my experience can be seen in the public community forum from the 3D-Album website. Being only moderately knowledgeable on computers, the software does require some learning curve for me. It is not a wizard-driven program for beginners. After getting familiar with necessary terminology and concepts, I found the program to be quite easy to work with. More to the point, folks at support as well as in the community forum are very helpful. I've learned a lot from them and now quite knowledgeable in this area. Fewer software products today can provide such a great and dedicated support. Good results can be seen by many examples that users have posted in the community forum, ranging from novice to professional. 1 stars (Poor Quality Software) - This software is difficut to use, slow (even on my P4 3.2GHz HT w/ 1GB RAM), and doesn't do everything that the box and the users guide states. 1 stars (Waste of time and money...) - Art Explosion should do just that - EXPLODE! It is just TIME CONSUMING trying to find what you want. The software doesn't have all of the graphics the user's manual does. Don't waste your time buying this... The art in here looks like a third grader's! The FEW that are good (and there are FEW) look amateurish. What a RIP-OFF!!! I can't believe they sell this junk to people. 4 stars (Good product) - I agree with most of the other reviewers; this package is inexpensive for all you get, and the quality of the images is good. I'm using it with Windows XP Professional and have had NO problems with the interface between the operating system and the software. It installed quicky and easily. Nova Art Explosion 800-000 Clip Art

1 stars (quantity not quality) - 800,000 images without keywords - the only useful parts of this collection are the classic and traditional .tif's that you can take into illustrator and turn into vector. The high res images aren't, the clipart is less than microsoft office online quality and I've gotten far more use out of a 50,000 image collection b/c they took the time to keyword and catagorize the collection. If you like to look thru a book and put in one of the 32 disks and then find the image - then this collection is for you. If you want to have any sort of search capabilites, look elsewhere. 5 stars (No more feeling bad!) - I am so pleased with this purchase!! Under normal circumstances if I spend anything over $1.00 I get caught in a spiral of buyers regret. This is a feeling that I have grown accustomed to. It wasn't as if I didn't know better. I had an earlier version I purchased in the 90's which I had found to be difficult to use. But as I looked at the glossy pictures on the box, and read how wonderful this product purported to be I said to myself, "Surely, this product must be better than it was." Well, I am here to tell you that it is just as difficult to use today as it was in the 90's. Granted, I am not software geek, but I have been around the block a few times. I think I am reasonably experienced in using software (Publisher, Word, FrontPage, Excel, etc.), but I cannot make this software do what I need it to do. For instance, I want to paste a picture in a text box. No problem, except for the text has to be manually manipulated around the picture. Oh, by the way, the clip art is just as bad as it was ten years ago. If you insist on buying this product, buy the very basic product and get your images off the web. ...
