DeepPac 3

DeepPac 3 is a clone of classic arcade game, designed for Windows. With new marvelous full-screen graphics, cheerful sounds, over 40 clear and surprising mazes, three levels of difficulty and high score table it's now one of the best clones of Pac-Man. The object is to eat dots and bonuses while you avoid the variuos enemies. The number of levels is unlimited and the game include passwords to take you straight to higher one...

Norton Internet Security Mac 3 0 AntiVirus- Firewall- Privacy- Controls- iClean

4 stars (Examine Before The Purchase) - Norton Utilities and AntiVirus form the foundation of any computer health program. However, when adding SuperClean to my G5's overall health regimen, my anger peaked. I payed twice for the privilege of using iClean. As excellently as this software functions, twice paid is once too much. Concerning AntiVirus itself, no software matches it for reliability. 3 stars (Internet Security for internet security) - I suppose that I am concerned about internet security. Aside from those hilarious commercials (by Citibank, I think) of fraud (usually credit card theft), there is a fair amount of potential problems regarding what others see of my life from my internet usage. In addition, I think that my life would be extremely disrupted if I had my powerbook hit with any damaging/destructive viruses. (Thats why I recommend backup, backup, backup. But I digress...) There are real problems "out there." But at the same time, I think balance and prudence are called for. So, I continue to use the internet. I surf, and I send email. I purchase over the internet. And I "do" wireless. But, I also set up passwords, and I use OS X's default firewall. And I think (without any real confirmation) that I am fairly safe from prying eyes... With this all in mind, I looked at Symantec's Internet Security 3.0 with interest. This is a collection of three (plus) programs which helps with (surprise!) your internet security. The three programs are AntiVirus, Personal Firewall, and Privacy Control. In addition (the plus, referenced above), Alladin iClean is included. I'll discuss AntiVirus more at the end of this review. I was impressed with the detail in the enclosed user manual, plus I like that the manual is fully available as a postscript file (.pdf) which means its more referable when I'm on the road. The install was smooth and easy. Personal Firewall seems to do a good job. At least, once started, I checked it against its self checks, and...

Apple Mac 3 0 Retail

4 stars (Improves every year) - I've been a user of .mac since the free days, and happy to discover that the annual renewals are cheaper when bought from Amazon. Paying for all of this is the one mark against it, but I can't fault Apple for covering their costs. They offer good extras for the money. E-mail has been very reliable for me, and the integration with my data for syncing and backing up is a bonus. 5 stars (Dot Mac) - I find this product indespensible. I am able to sync all my computers anywhere I have internet access. It is a good value for the price. 5 stars (Can be bargain method to renew existing account!) - The authorization code in the box can be used not only to open a new dot Mac account, but can also be used to renew an existing subscription (normally $99). If you're a renewing subscriber, you can usually save money by purchasing the retail box here at Amazon. ...

Apple Mac 3 5 Online Service

2 stars (Too expensive and much to basic, otherwise good.) - First let me say that I am a long time Mac user and I am trying to see all Apple services from it's positive side, so don't thing this is a beating from a Mac hater or something like that.... The pro's: -Very nice integration into Mac OS X -Very convenient backup possibility -Very nice website templates -Stylish email address (@mac.com) -Massive load of clips and sounds for "Garage Band" -Free virus scanner -Premium customer service (for .Mac services only) Now the con's (which are overwhelming) -The Price ($99 for 1000MB of space (for hosting and email), are you kidding me? Considering that you get a free email account with 2.5 GB right now.... Apple, please upgrade your service. Also they let you pay for every extra. You are paying extra for another email address and if you like to have more space. -The webhosting is much to basic. You can use simple html and that's it. Apple doesn't offer you to use scripts, databases... nothing. They don't even offer to host your own message board, blog or chat. I realized for the most basic user this does not mean anything, but for advanced users the webhosting is much too basic. -When you sign up you have to select a username. This username will be your email (yourname@mac.com and your URL (members.mac.com/yourname). You might think that there are not that many .mac users (about a million, the last time I checked), but thing again: Every time somebody signs up for a free trial the chosen username will not be deleted for years! This means if I just signed up for a free trial in the year 2000 with the username "user555", then this name is still taken today. This means it's incredibly hard to find a good username today. -The mail service is much to basic and impossible to use for power-users: I had the following confirmed from the .Mac customer service: You can not send more than a certain number of eMail an hour (I believe it was 20), because this is co...

Mac OS X 10 4 Tiger DVD

5 stars (Sleek Tiger) - The finest OS to date. I was haapy with Paanthere, but Tiger is a steop above. 5 stars (From PC to Mac forever, this OS is amazing.) - I have used Windows for years and used a Mac at my work, I always liked the way the Mac handled graphics and also appreciated their ease of use. Mac OS X is so simple to use compared to Windows XP, it is by far the best OS I have ever used. I have not run into one single glitch, my powerbook has not crashed on me once. It had crashed on me a few times with OS 9, but this one seems to be a lot more stable. I like the dashboard also, you can quickly check the weather, stocks, dictionary or calendar all with a push of a button and built into the OS. You can also download many others for free from the Apple website. Itunes is a great application also and it is something I use all day long. Safari is far more superior in just about every-way compared to Microsoft Explorer, in fact it would take to long to list the benefits. I also liked the ability to run OS 9 in classic mode, so you can keep all your older software and still use them within OS X. If you are sick and tired of the Windows fatal exception errors or sending Windows error reports, then buy yourself an Apple and enjoy stress free living with OS X. 1 stars (Stick with Panther) - I get the spinning beachball and Microsoft Office application crashes about as often as I did in 10.1! I reformatted my hard disk and reinstalled Panther after trying the 10.4.1 and 10.4.2 updates. For my needs Panther (10.3.8+) is a much more robust and stable operating system. ...

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade with Service Pack 2

1 stars (stupid and ridiculous) - why? cause it chokes up PROCESSING and RAM that's why! its full of bugs and freezes frequently. [...] if you want stability get win2000. its ridiculous how they keep releasing new operating systems every year. XP = Xtra Problem. 5 stars (WindowsXPHomeSP2) - I had WindowsME, but something went wrong with my computer and it wasn't recognizing drivers for stuff so I got XP and that fixed all that because XP has all the drivers you need already included in it. 4 stars (No Surprises) - Upgraded from Win 98 on laptop with no problems except for conflict with wireless module. ...
