Mac OS X 10 4 Tiger DVD

5 stars (Sleek Tiger) - The finest OS to date. I was haapy with Paanthere, but Tiger is a steop above. 5 stars (From PC to Mac forever, this OS is amazing.) - I have used Windows for years and used a Mac at my work, I always liked the way the Mac handled graphics and also appreciated their ease of use. Mac OS X is so simple to use compared to Windows XP, it is by far the best OS I have ever used. I have not run into one single glitch, my powerbook has not crashed on me once. It had crashed on me a few times with OS 9, but this one seems to be a lot more stable. I like the dashboard also, you can quickly check the weather, stocks, dictionary or calendar all with a push of a button and built into the OS. You can also download many others for free from the Apple website. Itunes is a great application also and it is something I use all day long. Safari is far more superior in just about every-way compared to Microsoft Explorer, in fact it would take to long to list the benefits. I also liked the ability to run OS 9 in classic mode, so you can keep all your older software and still use them within OS X. If you are sick and tired of the Windows fatal exception errors or sending Windows error reports, then buy yourself an Apple and enjoy stress free living with OS X. 1 stars (Stick with Panther) - I get the spinning beachball and Microsoft Office application crashes about as often as I did in 10.1! I reformatted my hard disk and reinstalled Panther after trying the 10.4.1 and 10.4.2 updates. For my needs Panther (10.3.8+) is a much more robust and stable operating system. ...

Power Chinese DVD Case

5 stars (Substance over style) - Asthetics aside, the program runs great, and wouldn't you know it, actually does as advertised. Being sub-beginner mandarin student if such a catagory existed, and even I took alot away from this. Great buy, all around. 5 stars (Have fun learning to read and write Chinese) - This program definitely deserves a review. I found it so much fun to work with that I stayed up all night, as long as I could keep my eyes open. It feels more like playing the game than investing an effort in learning. It is beautifully structures - it seems just to be made perfect for Western minds, or rather for people who have short time span. The program teaches grammar, too, in a way that seems more like watching a commercial on TV. It is offered in easily digestable bits, which are immediately followed through practice that is structured just like playing a game. New characters are introduced throughout the program and through the exercises. Information about every Chinese character is available throughout the program. All you need to do is click on the character you don't know, or that you might have forgotten, to see how it's written (stroke order and count, which are by the way, very colorful), to hear it pronounced, or to check out the pinyin spelling. You never feel stuck. Some characters are "deconstructed" to provide some possible logic that may help in memorizing the character. There are also few cultural bits and pieces, and even videos with people who have mastered the ability to speak Chinese fluently - for motivation and encouragement. The program is really good throughout in taking the stress out of learning Chinese characters, in making it as easy and enjoyable as possible and in motivating you to keep going. 5 stars (FUN & EASY WAY TO LEARN CHINESE CHARACTERS) - This program definitely deserves a review. XB NBA Live 2006

5 stars (oh my god another great one from the champ EA) - all i need to say is get your money and go to a toy store right now. This game is so hot that their abilties play like real life I SERIOUS.example sthephen jackson from the pacers does'nt have a symbol but still drains 3s like in real life. BUY IT 2 stars (No better than last year) - NBA 06 is kind of fun, but not really good. I mean, it has the exact same features as NBA 2005. The slam dunk contest, dynasty mode,season mode and everything else. The only new feature that they added this year was that freestyle superstar thing, where each player has a certain type of personality. For example, A. Iverson is a shooter, Lebron James is a highflyer, etc. But who cares about that? It doesn't really make the game anymore exciting than last year's version. It also doesn't affect how the players perform on the court. They'll still shoot the same and defend the same as always. When EA created Madden 06, they actually took time to add more than one new feature that people would actually care about. They added the new QB vision cone, superstar mode, rad new features to franchise mode and more. Then, people bought it because it was new AND exciting. NBA Live 06 isn't like that. They only added one new boring feature and the rest are the same as last year. To whoever is reading this, if you haven't bought it yet, don't waste your money on it when you can buy NBA 2005 for $12 and still get the same thing. If you have bought it, return it to the store and keep NBA 2005. Anyway, I think they could have done alot better when they made this game 3 stars (EA Sports Holding Back?) - Thanks to brand loyalty and the Madden series, EA Sports games are all I play. 3 stars (Defect in Dynasty Mode) - I have noticed a major defect in Dynasty Mode. After about the 4 game of the season, the game no longer keeps the correct score. Score freezes after several baskets are made and then picks up later in the game. Bizarre. Also, the refere AI on last second shot 7/10 times always counts the basket. Graphics look great. I will buy this on Xbox 360 when it comes out in two weeks. Hopefully, that game doesnt have these problems. 5 stars (One of the best games out) - This is one of the best nba games out highly recommended 3 stars (Live 06) - Although NBA Live is always fun to play and it has really nice dunks and things I'm going to have to judge this on its improvement on the last installment. The good improvements are that you can now run the fastbreak instead of having to settle with the half court set all the time. The 2nd is the Freestyle mode which I found annoying sometimes though because a player's rating is basically based on how good he is at a certain aspect of the game. FOr instance Josh SMith is crazy just because he can dunk it with the best but his overall game is not that good. It is very hard to stop someone defensively when they press L1 and then just press Circle and the basically have an easy basket. A Scorer Freestyle would just means that a player would do an assortment of layups and fancy manuevers to get the ball in the hole. ALthough I have to admit it is fun on the O end. Another thing that bothers me is that it doesnt have the full aspect of the NBA game in it. In this you justpass it down low to Yao Ming or someone and watch him Iso his defender then just dunk it and that goes on about 10-20 times a game but in the NBA that would only happen 1-5 times. In the NBA they would try to find the open man for the shot but in Live it doesnt matter if your open if your big and if you can dunk. If your caught up with proper gameplay and things I suggest you go out and buy 2K6 because that is much better in that asp...

Kim Possible 3- Team Possible

2 stars (A Very Hard Toy) - This toy is very fun but hard. I cant even beat level one. This toy is only good for kids ten and up.The only thing is that the older kids probaly dont even like Kim Possible. It should be way easyer then then this so the younger children can play with this neat toy. So you can see why this toy is so bad. Now you can see why I rated it so poorly. 5 stars (Way better than the 2nd Kim Possible and the 1st!) - This game is better than the 2nd and definitely the 1st edition. You can play as Kim, Ron, and even Rufus! You also get more gadgets like the boomerang comb, the hot sauce, and really cool karate moves for Ron. PS2 Lego Star Wars

1 stars (the game is fun, but the gamecube version is better...) - lego star wars is a pleasant surprise. don't be turned off by the kiddie lego graphics, because it's a great and entertaining game. the only reason i've given this a poor rating is because the gamecube version is a prettier and much better playing game than this one (and it's cheaper!). 4 stars (Mixed at first, but good) - I bought this game for my son and try to play it. To my dismay I found out that it was on the blue CD which didn't play on my PS2. So I attempted to return it to the store that I bought it from with no luck. In a desperate attempt to not feel like I wasted $40, I decided to buy a "Fellowes DVD lens cleaner." It's a DVD that has little brushes on it. But I tried it and it cleaned my PS2 and now I can play the game with my son. I know a lot of people have had this problem, so I hope this will help them also. The game play is pretty cool so far... I'm still getting over the initial agrivation. But I can't take that out on the game its self, It's a great game for all ages. 5 stars (Excellent and Fun for all ages!) - It is an awesome game. My child and husband loved it. It is very entertaining with a lot of things to do and to look for. Is not difficult and is very fun to play. The graphics and the scenes are very cool. Disney That-s So Raven 2- Supernatural Style

5 stars (My FAVORITE game) - That's So Raven 2 Supernatural Style is a REALLY good game. I would recommend it to all my friends and family, and anyone who is a fan of the show. My friend Kylie keeps asking me if she can borrow it because she loves it so much!!! 4 stars (cool but im stuck) - Ok I have this game and its fun but the graphics arnt that great. I am stuck in the mall. I have purchased the ticket for the concert but I can not find a way to get to the floor with the vision peice any pointers, please? 5 stars (Awesome!) - I did'nt buy the game but I'm planning to depite what the 12 year old said. Incredibles

1 stars ("E" rating inaccurate) - We purchased this game as a gift to go along with the Gameboy advance we gave our son for his 5th birthday. We saw the movie and knew there was some "cartoon violence" expected in the game. What was depicted in the first level of the game was far from "cartoon violence". Mr. Incredible is inundated by masked men with machine guns jumping out of doors. In my opinion this is more like "mob violence" and inappropriate for "everyone". To the best of my recollection the movie did not have any REAL weapons. Luckily we always view the games before allowing our children to play them so we replaced this one with a more appropriate one. 3 stars (Too many codes to note) - This game is based on the Incredibles movie. The gameplay is not so fun and somewhat monotoneous. All you have to do is punch all the enemies and go to the next level. This game always tells you a four digits code everytime you go to the next level. I was playing this game for a half an hour and I have a long list four digits code. Overall this game is not so entertaining. But for those Incredible-fans, especially kids, may like this game as completing each level is not difficult and you'll get 4 digits code so that you can continue your game another time. 1 stars (Great Movie, Awful Game) - Paint-by-numbers adaptation, awkward and repetitious...and totally uninspired. Sure it's faithful to the film...but even THAT is a drawback, since the game manages to make one of the most original and exciting plotlines I've ever seen into a kind of crappola silent movie with endless AND I MEAN ENDLESS unchallenging fight sequences. Took about as long to beat as it did to design, I'd wager. ...

Mac OS X 10 4 Tiger Family Pack - 5 Client DVD

5 stars (The Best) - What can you say about the best operating system in the world!!! It Rocks....everything about is great! Get it. Use it. You will not be sorry! 5 stars (The Best OS yet!!!!) - I decided to write a review after I noticed two reviewers (DOPES!) chose to give the OS one star, not because there's a problem with the OS, but because they didn't get theirs yet (WAAA). I bought the family pack because I have four computers to update. The upgrade was a snap on all four machines. And this is a great operating system. I especially like spot light, it makes finding anything on your computer a piece of cake. They have also enhanced the creation of pdf files which I use a lot to store email and web pages. I think that at least in my case I'm noticing a speed increase. And now we know that this OS has been designed to run on an Intel chip as well as the IBM chip. So don't worry, be happy and get this upgrade. 5 stars (Well done Apple!) - Although the installation was a tad shaky, Tiger runs beautifully on my Mac Mini 1.42 GHz 512 meg. I am completely in love with Dashboard- new widgets come out every day, and although they aren't all useful, they are all a lot of fun to use. I have yet to use every feature, but I do recommend Tiger. It is a wonderful upgrade from Panther, and has a lot of room to grow. Apple, I salute you. ...

Mac OS X Server 10 4 Tiger - Unlimited Clients

1 stars (OS X is flawed for server work) - I love OS X but what do you buy a server for?... to centralize tasks such as web hosting and databases. This article: http://www.anandtech.com/mac/showdoc.aspx?i=2520 points out how OS X is horribly crippled to handle such server tasks when compared to Linux running on a G5 or an AMD chip. The article is very fair and every effort was made to figure out what went wrong and the conclusion was that OS X has very poor threading functionality - something critical server applications like mysql and apache under heavy load. The Linux running on the G5 is upwards of 1000% faster than OS 10.4. Given the cost of Linux I'm not sure what would prompt me to purchase this server OS for 10 times worse performance on the same Apple hardware. I also find it ironic that Apple has touted the benefits of a single company making hardware and OS for years and this is the result. Embarassing. 1 stars (Be Careful Before You Upgrade) - I thought for the first time that I'd stay on the cuttng edge of Mac OS. Little did I know that under Tiger all of my applications would crash more often and run more slowly. I also didn't know that Symantec wouldn't support Tiger, so that my old versions of Norton Utilities and Norton Antivirus no longer work while Symantec does not plan to sell versions that do work on Tiger. Both my classic applications and my OS X applications run slower and crash more often. I really regret upgrading. Sure, the widgets function is nice, but not worth the trouble Tiger has caused me. 5 stars (Great update to the OS system) - With the exception of one (big) negative, this has been a terrific upgrade. There is no doubt that this is an 'optimized' system, as my Mac G4 is blazing through things faster than ever. Standards like iPhoto and iTunes still put Apple on the cutting edge, but new features like Safari and the Dashboard/Widgets are great for making your life easier. So, what was the one big negative, you wonder? ...
